the legs are so wide on that model and my desk is pretty thin so I wanted something with a heavy
I bought this because the desktop mic stand I was using started taking up too much space thanks to its tripod-style stand structure. For comparison purposes, here is the mic stand I was switching from: http://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Nu-Era-Tabletop-Mic-Stand/dp/B003VYBD58 As you can see, the legs are so wide on that model and my desk is pretty thin so I wanted something with a heavy, rounded base to use instead because it's more efficient and saves space. That's why I bought this one. I do podcasting along with voice overs and YouTube videos. Pros 1. Nice and heavy. I have no fear of my mic or stand tipping over. 2. Variable height. I keep it on the lowest setting but it's nice to know I can extend it if needed. 3. The threading fit my microphone clip (whatever came with the GLS ES-57) 4. Takes up so little space on the desk. The base is 6-inches in diameter and can be easily moved out of the way. 5. My Nady pop filter fits the stem. 6. Cheap and solid. It's all metal. Cons 1. The one I got actually wasn't the one pictured and I could tell by the tightening handle. In the picture, it's shiny black plastic and kind of short. On the one I got, the tightening handle is larger and actually better. No complaints but just be warned that there are at least two variants of these floating around. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. My last desktop mic stand took up so much space that it was a hassle to work with pretty much all the time. This is much smaller, heavier, and better built than my last one and that's what I wanted. Would recommend for podcasters, YouTubers, etc.

Sturdy, good looking microphone stand for table or desktop
I've been using these On-Stage Stands for years, just this time I bought them on Amazon and not from my regular retailer just for the fast Prime shipping. These stands look great and work like a charm. The base is heavy enough to hold many microphones without toppling over. It's not too tall in most situations when put down all the way, but the adjustability does give you versatility with the infinitely adjustable height (versus if there were notches for height settings). From amateur presenters to professionally established & seasoned voice actors, everyone has enjoyed using these stands. Remember to order wired or wireless microphone clips if you do not already have them; this is not included. What you get is a thread rod ending that the clip screws onto. If you are looking at these and on the fence, Go For It. These are a great value for the cost, especially with these being an economy to mid grade budget item. You won't be sad.

always reliable and quality build from on-stage
always reliable, quality products from on-stage. my students run a sports live stream for high school sports games and needed a small stand option for our mobile streaming unit commentary mic and this tabletop stand was perfect. youll just need to provide the mic clip/holder for the mic youre using. it was the perfect height and size for the space we had to work with. ive been using their products for years, never had an issue with their equipment and this is no different.

Good Desktop Mic Stand
Strong and sturdy base. Adjustable height, but I wish it would tilt so I could adjust the angle. Good purchase for the price.

An excellent self-defense weapon that doubles as a handy microphone stand...
I received this microphone as a gift for Christmas because I was just entering into audiobook narration, and needed a stand to hold my microphone. What is this, and why might I want it?: This is a desktop stand for a microphone that has excellent build quality and will enable you to hold your mic for recording purposes. You might want it if you're going to do voice overs at your desk, or even just dictate using Dragon Naturally Speaking, Google Docs, or some other voice recognition program. It would also help for Skype calls or any other sort of communication using your computer. First Impression: The funny thing is, I didn't know what this was when it was wrapped under the tree. I was thrown off a little bit by the density, or weight, of such a small package. That's a good thing, because it's simply demonstrates the heavy-duty nature and durability of the stand. Assembly: Assembly a straightforward. Take the pole, stick it in the hole, and twist to tighten it down. You can adjust the height, as you can see in the pictures comma from about 8.5 inches to about 13 inches. The base is heavy enough, but it doesn't seem to get top-heavy with that range of heights. Function: If you have a standard microphone, this is definitely the table for you. It works great with a Shure SM 58, and it was able to hold my blue yeti, no it was a bit top-heavy since the yeti is a monstrously big microphone. Per standard microphones, you can't go wrong. What you're getting with this order: When you open the box, you have the two pieces that fit together for the microphone stand, itself. And instructions, so I'm not sure they're needed. What you're not going to get: There is not a clip for a standard microphone. Given that mini professional microphones can screw directly to the shaft of the stand, that's not really a huge concern. However, if you have a standard handheld microphone, you’ll need to get a clip to go with it. Appearance: Flat black, with no bells and whistles. I do like to the base has a rougher finish, that keeps it from attracting fingerprints and you can't really notice that dust nearly as much. Build: This thing is solid. We're talking “ if someone were to break into your home at night, and you were sitting at your desk, and that's where the first thing you pick up… you would easily be able to complete the act “in the library with microphone stand”” solid. Any negatives?: I can't really fault the stand for not holding my blue yeti, especially when I add the shock mount to it. I did not take a start off because of this, since the stand is Compact and does exactly what it's supposed to. Bottom line: You'll end up with an excellent, compact microphone stand. And one that can easily be used for self-defense weapon in a pinch.

Simple, Classic, & Strong
This is an absolutely great little mic stand, with as classic and simple of a design as possible. Simple is always more likely to get the job done correctly than it's opposite. This thing has a good amount of heft to it, perfect for just about any microphone with a SMALL shock mount. There are a lot of people who have purchased this, only to realize that the bottom isn't heavy enough for their purposes. I am currently using it for a Blue Baby Bottle, with it's stock shock mount, and it is at a comfortable balance. If you were to add a little bit more weight, then it would be likely to fall over easily. You can use this fact to do the math as to whether it would be good for you, or not. The following is not a con. It's just something to look out for- It comes with a sticker on the pole, and I didn't find it to look very good. Mine wasn't easy to remove, either. I had to use some goo gone to take it off.

A Sturdy, Convenient Stand for Recording Musicians and Podcasters
As a musician who frequently records at home, I needed a stand that could hold my Audio Technica AT2020 microphone securely and at the perfect height for recording. This stand has exceeded my expectations in every way. It's very sturdy and holds the microphone firmly in place even when I move or adjust the position. The adjustable height feature also allows me to find the perfect angle and height for recording, which has greatly improved the sound quality of my recordings. The design of the stand is sleek and professional, and it has a small footprint, which saves a lot of space on my desk. The black color also blends well with my other recording equipment. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my purchase of the On-Stage DS7200B Adjustable Desktop Microphone Stand and would highly recommend it to any musician or podcaster looking for a reliable and convenient stand to hold their microphone.

Stability and Flexibility—A Podcaster's Dream!
As a podcast enthusiast transitioning from hobbyist to pro, I knew I needed to upgrade my setup, starting with an Adjustable Desktop Microphone Stand. I must say, this stand didn't disappoint! It's a compact powerhouse that brought so much professionalism to my desk space without cluttering it. First off, the adjustability is top-notch. It offers the perfect height range, making it incredibly easy to set the mic at the right level for recording. Whether sitting or standing, I can count on it to accommodate my needs, thanks to its smooth and stable adjustments. The build quality struck me too—it's sturdy without being cumbersome. The weighted base ensures it stays put, alleviating fears of it tipping over mid-recording. Yet, it's not overly heavy, meaning repositioning it when needed is no big deal. And let's talk about convenience! The clip holder fits my microphone perfectly, securing it safely, and the setup was a breeze—no complex instructions, no fuss. It's sleek, unobtrusive, and blends seamlessly with my other equipment. For anyone diving into the world of podcasting, streaming, or just needing a reliable, adjustable stand for their microphone, this one's a solid investment. It combines functionality with simplicity, all without breaking the bank!

Bin sehr zufrieden!

Sağlam, az yer kaplayan ve kullanışlı
Sağlam ve masaüstünde yer kaplamayan bir mikrofon standı arıyorsanız rode ds1 yerine bunu tercih edebilirsiniz. Aynı işi görüyor ve aynı sağlamlıkta. Kampanya dönemine denk geldi 2 aydır Rode nt1 Signature ve rode psm 6 shockmount u ile kullanıyorum. Çok memnunum ve kesinlikle tavsiye ediyorum.
