P3D2-15

I have this 15 inch subwoofer in a custom box (4 ft^3 tuned to 32 hz) and I am feeding it 500 watts RMS. Set up this way, it hits ridiculously hard. I'm talking cell phone and other objects rattling off of table tops, etc. I am using this with an EQ to get as flat a response as possible. This sub hits down to 18 hz the way I have it set up. When I play a 20 hz test tone at full volume, my eq, which is sitting on top of one of my amps, starts rattling around along with everything else in sight. I also turned it up on a bass heavy song and went around to see how much the sound carries. One floor down and three rooms over and it sounds like being in the bathroom at a club. Although I still have minor tweaks to make, I have nothing negative to say about this subwoofer so far. Granted, I have only had this set up for a few days so I will have to add more to this review if anything changes over time but as of now I could not be more happy with the quality and SPL for the price paid.

If your looking for the best bang for your buck this is it. I am a true rockford fan and i have been "rolling with the punches" for over ten years. I love their t models of course but when it comes to quality sound at an affordable price the rockford p models are what you need. The shipping on this product was a little slower than i had expected but upon arrival everything was quality and shipped good. Of course if your looking into a 15" you will be getting great lows but not so much on the highs. I currently run mine in a slot ported box. Sounds phenomenal. Dual voice coil in the p3 really gives a superior sound. Great product. Dont pass this one up. Sounds even better with the matching ten inch p3s (my current setup 1 15 inch p3 and 2 10 inch p3s all 2 ohm)

This is the first subwoofer that produces all of the frequencies of 1Hz to 20000Hz but I had to use 2 P3D2 15 inch subwoofers in 2 Qbomb singe vented enclosures one 15 inch midrange 2 10 inch midrange and 2 50 millimeter headphones setup to produce treble sound

My first setup was 2 12 inch kicker comp Rs, and they would hit hard in my focus, and then I bought a Chrysler 300 and I bought these subs to replace the kicker comp Rs, and I don't regret it, although they run at 600 watts RMS, I have them on a hifonics Brutus (which I wouldn't recommend) which runs them both at 1600 watts at 2 ohms pushing them a little harder than intended but I don't listen to constant bass. At first the box I bought didn't fit in my trunk so I had to cut some metal and go through the seat, but if you get these subs be ready to bump, my rear view mirror fell off becaus I was bumping a little too hard, but if you are starting out in subwoofers, I would recommend the 12inch size of these subs my friend has those and they hit hard as well, and the amp I would get is a Rockford amp too, or a Kicker amp, Alpine is another alternative but if you're really short on money, then I suppose get a hifonics, but make sure any amp you get is cea-2006 compliant, I will probably be buying 2 more of these subs, so I'll have 4 15s in the trunk of my Chrysler... I replaced two kicker comp 15's with one of these p3 15s. louder, cleaner sound I've never heard a sub as good as this. i am impressed with this sub wired at 1 ohm. Update 5/14/2015 Two of these subs are working great no problems. My old kickers used to always turn off. No matter how loud I crank this sub handles it no problem. My steering wheel looks like it is going to fall off, loud clean sound at every note. Anyone that I show agrees that it is one of the best setups they have heard and all of them have systems. I would advise to not purchase this if you are new to bass. Note to self you're ears are going to hurt , fosgates hit hard.

I was impressed by Rockfords 12"s for the P3 series but they didn't hit the low lows like I wanted them to. So I upgrade and went with 2 of these 15s and I'm power each with its own RF R1200-1D amplifier @ 1ohm and my god these things are amazing. I haven't even pushed them fully and they have hit every low from all my songs and I listen to bass heavy hip-hop. Make sure you have the box built specifically for the subwoofer. Went with a prefab one and the subs sounded no stronger than the 12s I had. Built the current box myself with round flared ports and tuned to Rockfords recommended 32hz and they sound completely different. These subwoofers are the best I've ever come across

Replaced 2 - 12" P3D4s with two of these 15"s. WOW what a difference! running them both on a t2500-bdc and i can't believe the sound pressure coming off these two.

Rockford Fosgate never let's you down. This Punch is the best without breaking the bank. I bought two P3D4-15's with a vented box put it in my girlfriends Yukon XL They are unbelievable. Bought a P3D2-15 put it in a sealed box in my Scion tC it's vicious. I recommend for sure.

Rockford Fosgate gear is always great. I've bought many subwoofers, speakers, amps, and more from them and they are always absolutely top notch.
