Fisher-Price Disney's Jake and The Never Land Pirates - Jake's Musical Pirate Ship Bucky [Amazon Exclusive]

Jake and the Neverland Pirates is not a series just for Boys. Both of my girls (ages 3 and 5) love it. They run around the house pretending to be pirate princesses and all the other characters all the time. They also love all the toys. Jake's Musical Pirate Ship Bucky is a great toy all around. It is sturdy and substantial and can take a beating. It is also super fun for my girls. It comes with Jake and Scully (the parrot) and it accommodates plenty of the Jake characters that my girls have collected (or Doc McStuffins, or Strawberry Shortcake, or whoever else wants to go for a boat ride). It has great sounds and the water cannon is fun and easy to use, but not too dangerous as many projectile toys have been in the past. It is also nice that the water ball projectiles are compatible with all the other cannons on the other Jake toys. There are also plenty of little plastic pegs that go in holes on each characters foot to keep them in place in various parts of the ship. The extra water balls also store neatly right on the deck of the ship. Tick Tock Croc even pops out of a hidden door in the hull of the ship. These little features all make for a nice design. The most amazing part about Bucky is how much my girls love playing with it. It, with all the other Jake toys, keeps them entertained for long periods of time. It is the only toy that will keep our 3-year-old out of our hair so we can get a much needed break. The only negative thing I can say about Bucky is that the door that covers Tick Tock Croc comes off really easy, but isn't too hard to put back on, and keeps this delicate part of the toy from breaking. Long story short, Bucky is a lifesaver in our house by giving our girls hours of fun. We buy all the Jake toys and this one is a must have. Five Stars! Highly Recommended! This is a unique toy. With wheels that wobble the ship back and forth to make it seem like it is going on water, to many places to put characters, it has been used by my kids a lot. It has a cannon to launch projectiles, a slide for characters to go down, a crows nest to put characters in, and the Tic Tok Croc pops out at the press of a button. It also has multiple phrases for fans of the show. The ship is just a neat looking toy that my kids keep coming back to, even if it’s not to play with other Jake toys. They use it all the time just because of how it looks with characters from other toy lines. It is probably the most used toy in our house. Yes it might be expensive, but it is a huge hit that I recommend for any Jake fan because it will be played with, even long after they are not fans of Jake and the Neverland Pirates. For us it was definitely worth it and it has withstood the test of time and is very durable.

I bought this gift for my son, as he loves jake and the neverland pirates and we had a whole birthday on the theme, this, i can say was the star of the birthday! it is a great toy and few days later still classifies as a great toy. I bought him the other figures that don't come with it (Izzy, Cubby and another Jake), and he loves moving them from a place to a place on the ship. The pop-up croc is a lot of fun, some kids tried to feed him pop corn (a whole different story), needless to say it held up pretty well with all the roughness it had to put up to... It's really a great toy, especially if u buy the small captain Hook ship, which we did, it also fires canons and is tons of fun too!

This toy is great - there are separate figures of Jake and his parrot that can "stand" on different places on the ship via a hole/peg mechanism. There are also buttons on the back of the ship that when pressed, make different Jake pirate sounds. And a button you can push that results in an alligator popping out the side of the ship (my son kept playing with this and would laugh hysterically at it). There are also some shooting water pieces that you can slip into the front of the ship and when you press a button, go flying forward which is great for imaginary play. The ship itself is very nice quality and looks like a real ship. There are wheels at the bottom to allow for easy pushing/maneuvering. I highly recommend this toy, especially if your son likes pirates or Jake the pirate.

I cannot for the life of me figure out why there are no Jake and the Never Land Pirate toys that sail! THE CHARACTERS ARE PIRATES! My almost 4-year old really loves JatNLP. First, we bought the big "Jake's Musical Pirate Ship Bucky," which cannot go in the water. My son loves it, but is heartbroken that it doesn't go in water. Then, we bought "Hook's Battle Boat," which sinks in water. Finally, I found "Splashin' Bucky Bath Item," and we thought, "Hooray! Finally a Bucky my son can take into the bath!" Alas. It's only half a toy. It's meat to stick on the wall, not sail. Imagine a 3-year old's heartbreak when he opened the package and found only half a ship, with the other half just suction cups. He called it "stupid" and asked us to send it back. He finally stuck it to our sliding glass door - and five minutes later it fell, all by itself. What the hell kind of piece of crud is this thing, anyway? I feel swindled. Why is it so hard for Fisher-Price or Disney to make an actual sailing Bucky? These are SHIPS. It is not crazy for our child to imagine he should be able to sail a toy pirate ship on water! As for the Musical Bucky, my son really loves it, but it would be nice if the bell actually rang. Or moved. From now on I am not spending another dime on JatNLP toys unless I see them in person, for myself, and get confirmation that they a)are what they say the are, and b)can sail on water. Our 4 year old daughter has been asking for this for Christmas for over a month. She is obsessed with Jake and the Neverland Pirates, We even wrote a letter to Santa with her. We've played with one that a friend has and it's a decent little toy. We also got the Captain Hook Battle Boat because you need someone for Jake to fight with. So I ordered it up. Christmas shopping done early! My only complaint is this... the day before it arrived, our daughter saw Toy Story for the first time. When I saw the package sitting on the doorstep I asked her again what she wants for Christmas, her answer was Buzz Lightyear. No amount of reasoning would get her to change her mind. No, she doesn't want the Jake boat, just Buzz Lightyear. Stupid Pixar and their quality movie making. I guess it's time to force the kid to watch a LOT of Jake for the next month so she remembers how much she loves it

I bought this item for my grandson for his 4th birthday. It was a hit!! He carries it everywhere with him. He has dropped it and it has held up, the sails are attached well, the cannon (missiles) shoot about 18 inches but without any force so friends or babies would not be hurt if one hit them. The crocodile pops out, the parrot has many perches on which to sit, and the button for the beginning of the song is easy and handy. All in all this turned out to be much better than I imagined. The educational value is what you make of it. If you are an involved parent there is rich vocabulary to be taught here. My grandson is now proficient in all the terms regarding the pirate ship, but most educational is the creative play that it has inspired. I did buy additional pirates to play with and the two items have been wonderful. I would highly recommend this for any little boy.

We got this for our granddaughter and she plays with it constantly now, it is a sturdy toy and good looking too, there is not much you can say about it as the toy speaks for itself, what you see you know its going to be perfect for boy or girl so I think the guys should put a picture of a girl playing with it too on the box, its a uni-sex toy so let everyone know it. The price is a bit high but quality toys last longer and can be played with, and no worries on if they will hurt, the parts are all rounded and no sharp ends, worth the price.

Item was just as described in post, actually was better than expected being a used item. Also arrived earlier than expected. Great experience.

The product was in good condition and delivered on time. My daughter enjoys playing with this toy. It has Jake and scully toys with it and she does lot of pirate pretend play .
