A Must-Have Tool for DIY Plumbing Projects
The Ridgid Close Quarters Pipe Cutter was an absolute lifesaver when I installed a hot water recirculating pump. Iโm not a professional plumber, but this tool made me feel like one. Itโs compact, easy to handle, and perfect for working in tight spaces where a regular pipe cutter just wonโt fit. The cutting process was smooth and precise. It tackled copper pipes with ease, leaving clean, burr-free cuts that were ready for my sharkbite fittings. I was impressed by how little effort it took to get a professional-quality result, especially with how quick and accurate it was! The solid construction of the tool feels durable, and it didnโt slip or wobble, even during multiple cuts. What really stood out was the convenience. The small design allowed me to maneuver in cramped areas without struggling, which was essential for installing the pump in my water heater system. If youโre tackling any plumbing projectโwhether itโs big or smallโthis tool is worth every penny. Whether youโre a seasoned pro or just a weekend DIYer like me, the Ridgid Close Quarters Pipe Cutter is a game-changer. It saved me time, effort, and a lot of frustration. Highly recommended!

Great for automotive hydraulic line work.
Same quality I expected from the RIDGID tools I've bought in big name stores. I used this for both NiCopp and steel brake lines and it worked great, just a little burr to clean up as is expected with any cutting tool. I'd recommend this and have yet to be disappointed by a RIDGID tool.

Good for adjusting the length of golf shafts.
Cheap and worked great for trimming the ends of some golf shafts. After about a dozen shafts it quit cutting, but I think this is because I didn't use cutting oil.

Good but small
Cuts good but if I were to buy it agian I would get something bigger with more to hold on to. But its small and fits in small places.

Not perfect, but very good
It's a tiny tubing cutter that cuts straight, and doesn't leave much of a bur. The cut quality is very good. The only non-obvious down side is that it doesn't have a notch to cut off a flare closely, but that's probably because overall it's so small. I wouldn't recommend this as a first or primary tubing cutter for either household or hvac, but it's a very handy thing to have for tight spaces.

Excellent tight space tubing cutter.
Excellent tight space tubing cutter. Iโve own 6 or more of these over the years and theyโve held up well to everyday use. Solid construction, the cheaper ones have too much play in the blade-to-body alignment allowing for inaccurate tracking of the blade on the pipe surface. The Ridgid cutter makes cleaner cuts with less surface deformities. The blade maintains its cutting edge longer than the other cutters Iโve used, as long as they are used on the sorts of metal they were made for. Iโm an industrial machine tech with 30+ years in the field and have used many different โRidgidโ tools and have found while costing more their attention to quality offsets the price with increased longevity of use.

Seems tough and cuts well
It seems much tougher than a similar shaped one I had for about 1/4 the price where the cutting wheel just fell off. It's worth spending a bit more and getting a tool that lasts. I've cut 3/8" and 3/16" copper-nickel and each one has been easy. It's small enough to work in situ in many cases as it only needs about 5cm clearance to turn

Cuts well but mechanism a little sloppy.
Cuts well but mechanism a little sloppy. Love that it fits in some pretty tight spaces. i don't need the tiny clearance of a fixed cutter for most jobs and this is the best adjustable tube cutter I've found in terms of quality. wish it was a little more rock solid with the mechanism, hence it's not five stars, but still would recommend.
