They advertise that this tent sets up in "no time". Well...they weren't lying. Before this tent, I had a standard style 4-person tent which wasn't terribly difficult to set up. In looking for a new tent, though, I was intrigued with these "instant" tents. They seem too good to be true, so I was a little skeptical. After reading through the reviews, though, the consensus was that this was a solid tent! Plus, some of the other instant tents have a funky dome style look to them. I was looking for a more "traditional" looking tent. So, I decided to give this tent a shot. I have to admit, it's simply awesome. At it's price of just a hair over $100, you can't go wrong. You can set this thing up in less than 2 minutes. Same goes for tearing it down. My only complaint (and this goes for most tents), is that getting the tent back in the carrying bag is a bit tight. I don't know why they don't make tents with stretchy carrying bags! This "4 person" tent comfortably fit a queen size air mattress. I'm sure you could squeeze 4 people in there, but it was very comfortable for 2 people, in my opinion (I don't like being TOO cramped). Overall, would definitely recommend this tent!

My wife and I have been camping for the last 13 years or so and we have never had an easier tent experience than with this Core instant dome tent. Initial set up (no stakes or guy lines) literally took one minute and that was us taking our time and making sure we weren't rushing anything. The tent is very intelligently designed. With the mesh shelf that attaches to the top of the dome, the two side pockets, a third mesh pocket by the back window, the two (closable) air vents, and the electrical cord entry, it has plenty of storage and capabilities, especially for a tent at this price point. I also appreciate the sturdy floor, and the functional rain fly. And aesthetically, I think the green/gray combo is great - as you can see it meshes in with our surroundings very well but is also very easy to see when walking around the campsite. We tested this in our "back yard" which is really just a clearing on the edge of a mountain in Colorado. We camp down there a lot and frequently get wind gusts in excess of 35mph. Last night we got those same wind gusts and the tent held firm, even without upgraded tent stakes. The guy lines were key in keeping it centered. Even after 8 straight hours of intense wind, the tent hadn't moved an inch or suffered any kind of stretching or ripping of the material. Granted it's still a new tent and we have many more nights ahead of us, but definitely a promising sign. We debated over tents for days before settling on this Core 4 person tent - considering major brands like Kelty and Marmot. In the end, the low price, the instant-up frame, overall weight/size, and features were just too good to pass up on this Core. Highly recommended for couples and other adventurous types who want a minimum of hassle getting camp set up.

I am very happy with this tent! This was my first camping trip as an adult, and I had never put up a tent before. Setup was relatively easy. Just be aware that it takes a lot of force to extend some of the tent poles (2 were easy, 1 was moderately difficult, and I nearly developed a hernia with the last one)! Also, I was unable to figure out how to attach the rain fly. Luckily, it was not windy, so it sat there pretty nicely. Keep in mind, though, I am a novice - so I'm sure others would have no problems setting this up at all. Once inside, I can tell you it appeared to be very sturdy with solid construction, and there was plenty of room for both myself and my 5 year old. I would disagree, however, that it is a 4 person tent. But I think it would work for 2 adults and a child. There is a side pocket, as well as a net at the top of the tent to place things into. The door is large, which makes getting in and out of it a breeze. There is also a window, which my son loved. I would definitely recommend this tent.

Used once and it goes up in minutes. Easy, easy set up. The poles are captive and part of the tent so no struggle with them. It was really simple to put up and then break down. Waterproof: The one and only time I used this it down poured all night. There were two small areas where water came through. One was the actual door material was very porous and water came in heavy. Another spot was on the floor in the corner where only a small amount of water seeped in. I sprayed it down with waterproofing and hope that solves it. Yes there was water coming in but I had a tarp I put over it and was good. Total downpour and the rest of the tent held very very well. Space: Me and my six y/o had plenty of room with our gear. Probably could fit one more person with no problem but that’d be it.
