This was the first mousepad I bought for performance. I have always bought deskmats or mousepads with design in mind and never really thought about the performance. After doing some research about mousepads, I came across Artisan mousepads and had to get one. I couldn't wait for the shipping from Japan so I came to Amazon.Feel: This mouse pad is a little bit rough. So far, I have been gaming without a long sleeve and haven't seen any issues. I know some people don't like the feeling on their forearm/wrist, but it hasn't really affected me. I only notice it if I pay attention to it, but there hasn't been any irritation on my skin of any sort.Quality: The stitched edges look and feel great. I didn't spot any fraying or imperfections on the stitching. The pad feels like it will last a long time, but I've only had it for a little over a month.Functionality: I wanted a speed pad and was looking at the Artisan Raiden, but decided to get the Hien since I read online that the Raiden had issues with Logitech mouse sensors. After getting new mouse skates paired with the Hien, it is plenty of speed for me. I can't imagine how fast it would feel with the Raiden, so I am happy I went with the Hien.Overall, I am happy with my purchase. I could never go back to my old generic extended mouse pad I bought from Amazon years ago. Maybe I need to switch to new pads more often, but I will see how this Hien holds up. I feel like the Hien would be a great pad to start off with to see if you want something faster or slower. Also, mouse skates makes a huge difference. My OEM skates on my Logitech mouse felt more controlled, but too slow for my liking. After switching to new skates, it created the perfect pairing with my Hien.

I used the same old Logitech mousepad that everyone else uses. The g495838 whatever. Used it for ages, and decided to try this brand out.To preface the rest of this review, I am an avid FPS player for 15+ years, and am a peripheral junkie. I try nearly everything that gets hyped, simply because I’m an enthusiast when it comes to that sort of thing.When these mousepads cropped up, they garnered a lot of hype, so naturally, I had to give one a try.I started with the shidenkai, which has the glass infused material...and initially I thought it was pretty good, but gradually began to degrade and the glass material was basically pouring out of it. I do not recommend that mousepad to anyone, as it is basically dead after 2-3 months. For 99$? No thanks.Moving to the hien I noticed a marked improvement in aim and control. The textured surface provides a perfect amount of tactile feedback for me, and while I understand that tastes in this area are subjective, I believe precision aim is harder to achieve on a smooth speed pad(like the shidenkai).It’s been refreshing to see how much better I’m performing with this pad, and while the price is hefty for most, to those with the disposable cash...this is a great mousepad.I suppose the lesson learned after 200$ in hypebeast Chinese mousepads is—I’m a control pad player. And glass fibers shouldn’t be put into a mousepad.

The aim is absolutely amazing in any video game I play I am playing with a glorious model O and its great I was worried about the scratchiness of the mousepad prior to purchasing it and I have to say its not as bad as I was expecting so with that being said I really like the mouse pad its very nice but one thing is the mousepad slides on my desk a bit but with some added arm weight it stays in place nice.

The Hien is a great mouse bad. When broken in, they are a great balance of speed and control in my opinion. I play games where i need to track like crazy... easy to do with these. I also play CSGO that needs control.. the control is there after a bit of use. I also use glass mouse feet, and they pair together great.The only reason i gave 4 stars is bc ... buy these from Artisan's website. They'll be cheaper that way. No need to pay more for them. It's fast shipping too. This one isn't as badly priced, but i think mine was a little cheaper from the site. Some of these Artisans i've seen on Amazon are way too overpriced. Just always check Artisan's site before you buy here. I guess if you need them in a day or fast, you can pay a little extra for that speed. I got my Artisan from their site within a week. I'm in Cali.

Super mousepad

This mousepad is like the titanic, it has withstood my 2 kids for 6 months and still has perfect glide and still washes to work perfectly every time. I recommend this mousepad for anybody who is serious about gaming and looking for a long term mouse pad .P.S. this mousepad does have X-Y difference

For me i didn’t like the mid texture it’s my fault but everything else is perfect about it
