It's a lot of money to pay for a mirror, but this really is superb. I'm at an age when I need some magnification to put my make-up without glasses, but I also need good light. I tried some strategically placed spotlights but they ended up casting too many shadows on my face. This is brilliant. It lights up as you get near it and illuminates your face perfectly and naturally. I'm absolutely thrilled with it.

Vert good mirror, worth the money. We had problem with charger, contacted simplehuman and sent new one within a few days - very good customer service.

Absolutely great. Works off USB and has an adptor for shaver socket so saves me hard wiring or can use 3 pin plug adaptor. Turns on and off as near mirror. Throughly recommend

Great mirror, but stopped charging after only 5 months. Now the light doesn't work at all, and the mirror doesn't charge or turn on. Considering this cost £150 that's terrible. Avoid

Looks great, works well. Has been known to turn itself on in a steamy atmosphere with no face nearby, but that's not really a problem. Update: after five years, and out of warranty, it stopped working. Instead of lighting up when it detects a face, it just flashes briefly and doesn't stay illuminated. Weirdly, it does still work but only so long as the battery charger is connected. Sadly, SimpleHuman don't offer a repair service and will not supply spare parts. I managed to source a replacement battery, no thanks to SimpleHuman, but the problem persists, so not a faulty battery. Something wrong in the circuitry, probably a cheap capacitor failed and tragically turned this expensive mirror into landfill.

Very good mirror and good quality although It is a little expensive. The only real downside is the ability to quickly remove the mirror, from its wall mount, for charging. I have to run an extension lead into the bathroom to charge it. That being said, I have purchased another Simple Human desk top lamp for my wife’s dressing table, as the clarity of the mirror reflection, with the light on, is very good.

Loved the mirror, great size and magnification, holds charge for ages, works perfectly (always lights up when you approach), looks fab. However, like many reviewers, for me too its ability to charge stopped after 2 years (and 2 months). I attempted to contact the company, intending to buy another, but was on hold too long, and the "live chat" was a virtual assistant that wouldn't communicate without an email address. Will now research other companies.

A few things that may help others :- - Wall plugs. Comes with a couple of drywall plugs. I don't think these should be used on tiles (I used the screws that came with it though as they're not tapered so screw flat to the wall plate). - Charger. Comes with a charger that can plug into the shaver socket (I think that's what it's for anyway and seems to work just fine for recharging). - Colour. Mine came in "brushed" chrome not "shiny" chrome which seems to be what the product picture is showing. Not a big deal for me. - Installation. Didn't find this a problem with the right tools (e.g. tile drill bit).

The mirror product itself is very good. However the installation was a nightmare. Very poor quality accompaniments with the unit. For the price, this should be an easy and solid installation process. For this reason, would not recommend or buy the product again.

Cable-less and safe use of batteries in a potentially wet bathroom was the main reason to buy this product. I was very happy to see the nice design when I unpacked it. There is a good quality feel to the hinges and the Stainless steel details are nicely made. The mirror can swing in close to the wall so it does not take up a lot of space when not in use. The mirror frame is slim unlike other mirrors like this which is nice too. The light brightness and the mirror works well together with a uniform light ring. Fixing it to the wall was very easy with the supplied bracket and two screws. Highly recommended.

J'avais acheté précédemment un miroir Beurer; il n'était pas cher (4 fois moins que celui-ci), mais était franchement pas terrible (cf mon commentaire sur ce site). J'ai donc acheté ce Simplehuman qui, malgré l'absence de commentaires des internautes, me donnait l'impression d'être autre chose. Et je ne suis pas déçu: il paraît costaud; il est beau, bien fini, suffisamment grand pour voir tout son visage lors du maquillage (dixit ma femme). Il éclaire bien ( rien à voir avec le Beurer !).Le bras articulé est agréable à utiliser. Le système de fixation au mur est très bien pensé, très solide. Il n'est pas nécessaire de faire des travaux d'électricité (batterie intégrée au socle, rechargeable grâce à un petit transformateur avec un cordon fournis avec l'appareil). Bref, un miroir cosmétique parfait qui mérite son prix élevé: 150€ sur Amazon, plus cher sur d'autres sites... ( mais une voiture haut de gamme n'a rien à voir avec une voiture low cost...comme ce simplhuman et le Beurer !!).
