Warm, spicy scent softens to vanilla
This was an accidental scent selection that works for me in the fall/winter. NOTE this has a strong clove top note that dissipates into a warm vanilla-y scent, but it is still a classic scent. A nice way to control this scent is to use the included sprayer.

Caution this is not the Aftershave Lotion version of Royall BayRhum
Be aware this is the "Eau de Toilette" version and not the "After Shave Lotion". The "Eau de Toilette" seems like a diluted down version of the "After Shave Lotion" which, unfortunately, no longer seems to be available. The "Eau de Toilette" version smells good for about 60 seconds and then completely disappears. The packaging is cool and probably accounts for the high price. As far as the scent goes, it is so faint I will not purchase another. Seems like another case of a product that was great in the past has been modified and is designed to maximize profits while providing an inferior product.

Not so Meh
Liked the clean feel and slight burn. Weak scent and very little duration. Love the Royall line, just not this one so much. CHANGING MY MIND: After several months of use, this one is growing on me. The scent is still not an all day but it gets the job done. I will reorder in the fall.

If you like bay rum, this is for you.
Bay rum aftershave is iconic. This one is my favorite. Subtle and delightful. It’s not overpowering and doesn’t smell cheap. The large bottle size is nice, too.
