Great for PC/Server work and outdoors too
I frequently work on PCs/Servers and was getting sick of having to hold/angle a flashlight while working so I could see what I was doing. This headlamp is lightweight, comfortable, very bright with multiple levels of adjustment, and the angle can be adjusted very precisely, which was important for tech work. It is plenty bright for outdoor walks at nighttime as well, which was an added bonus along with the flashing beacon and strobe modes. The price was reasonable, and they quality was a big step up from some of the cheaper options/multi-packs. The battery is removable, which is nice, since this device won't end up in the junk pile when the battery loses its capacity eventually and needs to be replaced. Very happy with this purchase.

Durable, USB C, bright, and long lasting! All around a great light!!
I love these headlamps. I wanted something durable that had a USB C charging port. Everything is USB C now so I didn't want to have old wires laying around. We purchased like 25 of these for our crews to use at our drone light shows and they work great. Different brightness levels and they last plenty long enough. I would definitely recommend!

Beats em' All To-Date
My dad and I each have one of these D25S headlamps - which we bought to replace some cheapo-LED lights that needed to be retired. Just to give you an idea: the old lights required a AAA battery cell, were heavy (1/2 lb) and only 100 lumens. The 3 AAA batteries required would last 1 hour, on a good day. We even bought Eneloop rechargeables to save on the cost of batteries - but it just wasn't practical because the light just didn't last long enough and recharging took too long - and that says a lot about how poor-a-design the old lights were, because the Eneloop batteries typically last longer [in our experience] than traditional batteries. Anyway, onto the D25S headlamp. Long story short - my dad and I really dig this lamp. We use them for different purposes, but in any case, it's something you'll want to have in your arsenal of useful tools. The D25S is great for a number of reasons. Here's my take on it (not necessarily in order of priority): 1. It's rechargeable via USB with an indicator light to dictate charging/charged (red/green, respectively) 2. The 18650 battery is stored in the same compartment as the light (not on the back of your head in some brick, like many LED's on the market) 3. The strap is very soft, pliable, and minimalistic - will fit anyone comfortably, even if you needed to wear a hat. 4. Most importantly, it's bright! VERY BRIGHT. The only thing brighter that I own is my Hikari LED headlights on my car (highly recommend if you're tired of halogens or HIDs). 5. The push button for turning the light on is simple - you don't have to fiddle with it to work as you do on many flashlights or headlamps. It's also coarsely textured so if your hands are wet or gloved, you can press the button easily. 6. The fixture swivels so your neck doesn't have to. 7. This strap does not interfere with the hair on the top of your head, which can make for a real "head-scratcher". There are a few things I wish were better: A. I wish there were clasps from the fixture around the light instead of just the two snap rings. If you were to bump it or drop it hard enough, the light might jump out of the head fixture. Adding clasps might add a little weight, but it's a good insurance policy if you're wild with your light [presumably from excitement of the brightness :]. B. A lock for the strap - sometimes, the strap will loosen on its own. If there was a lock or a clasp to keep the straps from moving, it would take less time to adjust and readjust when taking on and off the light between uses. C. A little extra padding on the light mount at the forehead - the light can heat up a bit on turbo mode and when it does, you can feel the heat around your forehead. Not a problem in the cold, but in the heat - can be a little uncomfortable. A rubber insulated pad would most likely reduce this, but at the cost of added weight. The rubber might not be needed if... D. There were a few more cooling vanes on the light housing- not that it overheats, but in turbo, the light gets very warm (as a powerful LED does anyway). For very obvious reasons, heat is no good for a rechargeable battery or the LED and the more power cycles in less-than-optimal temperature ranges, the less likely the battery and LED will last a long time. For the price - you can't beat this light. Sure, there are a few things I wish were different, but I really am quite pleased with it. It's SO MUCH BETTER than the other lights on the market in 2019, and it's certainly better than anything you could buy locally in a hardware store or hunting/fishing outlet. It's also much less expensive. I really quite enjoy this light [as does my dad]. It's saved us both lots of time and labor with fiddling with some big, hefty 'industrial' light to illuminate a job - big or small, from 2m soldering to big rig oil changes. It's hard to believe we've worked this long without such a bright addition to our toolbox(es).

Excellent if flawed.
The aluminum part of this headlamp is excellent: it is very bright with multiple brightness choices; a sturdy aluminum build that looks like it will last forever. Big Bonus: it turns off and on with one click, no need to click through brightness levels!! Hold down to change brightness level. It comes with a 18650 3000mAh Sofirn battery which charges easily in the headlamp with a securely protected small end type usb port which is also easily uncovered and recovered. You need a 5 volt usb wall charger to plug into and it doesn't come with. A good quality name brand replacement battery or spare battery is easily obtained at this writing for about $3.50 ($6.00 now during covid). (Don't go cheap on replacement batteries as they can get hot while charging, although the included battery should last a while.) The included new Sofirn 18650 charged completely cool, but gets a little warm when using the light on high for a while and the charge really lasted! There were two flaws. The headlamp is a little heavy which feels ok for short use, but I need to add padding for any length of time so I just wear a ski cap or head band underneath. I was really happy wearing it to take the dog out for a night walk (It was like being my own street lamp when on high). Another flaw was how easy the aluminum flashlight part popped out of the plastic holder which I also worry about breaking. The first night I almost knocked the flashlight part out a couple times. Zip ties, pipe cleaners or skinny velcros, can hold in on while still allowing swivel. I thought the light wouldn't be that good for reading, because of the bright spot in the middle, but it worked ok for reading at lower levels of the brightness and ended up being my preferred lighting to read during a blackout.

Good Head Lamp For Service Tech Work Or Average DIY Work. Superior To AAA Battery Variety.
Good bright headlamp. This is Superior to cheaper headlamps or headlamps that run off AAA batteries. Over time, the band will stretch and need to be replaced. Also, the bracket that holds on to the headlamp and attaches it to the band does not stand up to hard impact. Maybe not durable enough to bring into a mine shaft but durable enough for average blue collar service tech work. Easy to charge via USB-C. Battery can be switched out with like kind battery if necessary.

Way nicer than my Energizer Headlamp
Battery costs got me to finding a better solution. Tried rechargeable NIMH and considered lithium's, but it's just a scam with thise batteries cause they just stop working so short in their life (2 to 6 times use if you're lucky - see the reviews, a joke honestly). So I needed something else, and I had an option with a flashlight to use an 18650 Cell - which I did and loved it. So jumped to finding options for this energizer headlamp which was eating about $25 every two months in batteries from Sams Club (the big packs). Yeah this definately fits the bill. I'm still initially trying this out, but in every way (but one), this is the way to go without a second thought. The brightness, I use it one setting one or two. Setting one in my storage shed or for say an attic where it is really dark, also if I am using the cell phone. Setting two in parking lots or lightly lit afterhours areas. I preptrip a Semi with this in setting two. I can see Setting three possibly used at times in say a shop under a truck or where you go from bright and well lit areas to under something. b But it gets really bright from thereout, actually has 5 settings. I don't use the other ones. The lenses I wasn't sure about at first because they were near and wide, but it almost looked liek a distance lens as the second one - and I can say this 100% that they have it figured out on the light diffusion and spacial whatever that makes this work as well as it does. Love the charging port. That was clever - to unscrew the cap and have the port right there, very smart, thankyou!! The ability to rotate it is nice and super easy. Headband is comfortable and easily adjustable. The only thing is, trying to grab and quick mount the thing cause you can't tell which was is up except for the split in the headband backing thing that sits against your forehead - look for this, cause otherwise you'll go to press the button, and it's facing the other way. That is my only gripe, and it's a small one. Plan to attach this to my MK8 Type 2 Helmet at working with some 3M two sided tape, snd buy a couple of spares. I also have a couple of bad Bosch 18V Tool Batteries that have these cells in them, so if this battery ever goes bad, I can use one of the good cells left in those older battery packs (probably had a single bad cell, board went bad, whatever). Something to keep in mind. Overall, buying this saves me about $120 a year in batteries, let alone the hassle. Really happy with it.

Bright enough for after sundown hours ranch work, durable and versatile
The headlamp arrived packaged well enough, the instructions included at the bottom of the light's package are clear enough if you are used to these sorts of lights already. The interface is simple, after a little experimentation the modes are easy to work with. Press the button once quickly to toggle ON/OFF. There are five power settings and two "flashing" modes that are available. Flashing modes are a waste of time for what I use the lamp for, but they are not in the "POWER" selection. Mine started in the lowest setting and holding the button down for 2 seconds shifted to the next power setting. Each subsequent hold for 2 seconds will bump to the next higher (or lower if cycling that way). Let go the button and it stays on that setting. It remembers what setting you had last selected when the light is powered off. The power outputs are pretty usable. EXTRA LOW is enough to comfortably read a book and study a map. LOW is enough for walking around a camp or setting up a tent, working hay in a shed. MEDIUM is enough for hiking or working on something like a motor or the like and is where my lamp stays 80% of the time. HIGH is bright enough to trail jog at night, but is at the point for me where the light is annoying for up close tasks, too bright and too much reflection. TURBO is noble! It is bright enough that it will light our acreage from the porch. Totally useless for up close...you will just end of squinting. The lights throw is great! It does have little bit of haloing, but the dispersion is about perfect and there are no dark spots in the pattern. The light can get a little hot on the highest settings, but not too terrible. I have not run it more than a half hour and even on the 4th setting it was not annoyingly warm. Not sure how long the battery's charge will hold. I run Panasonic 3000mah cells and have never run the lamp to start cutting out. One thing I did change, the band. It is adequate, but it is a lighter weight elastic and my experience with bands that feel like the stock band has been that they do not last long. I changed out out with a third party band that is made with an elastic that holds up well. The band is 1" which are typical. Totally recommend this headlamp! Update (250824): I have now been using this headlamp daily (nightly, actually) for 3 years and it is still going strong. It is almost exclusively on the third output level as this is bright enough for just about everything I do around the ranch past sundown. I still have the 18650 cell that is came with and it holds a charge after about 150 charging cycles. It is the only cell I have used it in and no issues or concerns after a few years of service. It has proven to be good enough for the draw this light pulls in an hour or two of runtime per evening. While the price has increased a bit since I purchased mine, I still feel that the quality my copy has exhibited makes it a good deal. I read one review that mentioned that they did not feel the headlamp was very bright. That has not been my experience. The emitters are definitely bright, the reflectors are shallow with a low angle that appear to be designed for a wide spill and just about zero throw. This is actually a positive for me as I use the lamp to light a fairly wide work area with free hands. At the third setting, everything is nicely illuminated with virtually no hot spot in the center of the area. If I need throw, I have a C8 based torch that will punch out across a few acres for coyote deterrence. This headlamp looks to be designed for evenly lighting a work area inside of about 10 meters on the middle setting.
