The Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Dark Magic Whole Bean Coffee is a lovely, perfect balance coffee. Both bold & smooth it struck all the right cords for me. I think going with the whole was a good decision as you get that fresh from the espresso stand aroma & taste. I would highly recommend this to any coffee snob (me 🤗). I just found my new fav!!

Very dark coffee. Makes a very strong cup of coffee. I use stronger beans which has less caffeine. Its different from other coffee but i enjoy it.

I like my coffee strong and this coffee fits my taste perfectly. Smells wonderful when brewing.

My first bag. Dark? Yes. Bitter? No. But it did have a slightly burnt smell. Maybe it was a batch issue? I'll try again.

Great coffee. We like it better than Starbucks French Roast which used to be our go to coffee. It’s also a larger bag so compare price per ounce.

Let first be said that upon brew the flavor is of 3 - 4 distinct and identifiable layers. To genuine, unadulterated coffee bean that is of one solid, rounded and coherent flavor this 'creation' of a multi- treated coffee does not so much impress as being interesting as it does of being plainly curious,- dubious, even. 1stly, the bean is not simply roasted, instead overly-roasted; 2ndly, the bean has been treated, i.e, 'flavored' with vanilla and molasses which by the over-roasting has burned off; the residual taste is of a solvent (such as turpentine, or gasoline as commonly used as the fuel in roasting poultry, both easily affected by the ambient fumes]. Quality coffee has the 'after-brew' capacity to withstand sitting overnight,- even to improve. Sadly, this brand and style unfortunately only increasingly degrades. My home state is in New England; This bean, a gothic horror I consider to be a shame and a disgrace.
