Does this create any problems going through airport security because of the resemblance to a pocket knife?

Had TSA in both Denver and in Houston both hassle me over it.  On the X-ray it does look like a folded up pocket knife as you would suspect.  Trick is to splay the keys out wards so that they can see what it is on x-ray if you have it in your bag and even then they've pulled me aside for a bag check.

Question 2

I have 2 large remotes for push button start cars.  Will they both fit on the outside loop?

Can you operate this one handed? (open out a key with one hand)

Hey Paul. If the key is one of the outer keys, it is very easy to open that key with one hand. Otherwise, it is a little more difficult, but definitely do able. I should note though that I am ambidextrous and have very good dexterity with my hands.

How tough is the paint coating on it, from 1 to 10?

I have one of the original Key Smart units. I bought it in September 2015 and it is carried every day. Mine has some brassing on the edges and some wear on one face. I would call that quite durable, perhaps an 8 or 9 (out of 10). It looks like a bit of kit that is well-loved and well-used. In my book, that is OK. FWIW, my EDC blades have similar wear. It just proves they get used. ;)
