Botanics Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask 3.5 Ounce

After reading a few reviews, I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. Within the first 2 days of using it, the pores on my nose chin and forehead that are chronically big were reduced more than 50%. Which also reduced the size of the acne that did form after I started using the mask. The mask did dry my face out a bit, but a moisturizer solves that problem easy enough. Using the mask and the Neutrogena hydro boost gel creme has helped reduce the oil on my face. I did try the Botanics facial creme and compared it with the neutrogena, but the Botanics felt a bit too heavy for me. Before using this mask, I was considering talking to my doctor about other options because I noticed my acne getting worse, but this seems to be helping me control it a lot better.

I got this product as a birthday gift because I LOVE face masks; however, this one did not do it for me. When I opened it the first time, it leaked everywhere!! It wasn't solid clay at all, even after shaking the bottle. It spilled everywhere and half the liquid in the bottle went either straight down the drain, leaked down my arm when trying to apply it, or splashed on my clothes. SO ANNOYING. Not only did half the bottle get wasted, it smells terrible!! It has an almost vinegar like smell to it, but worse!!! I do not recommend this mask at all. I'm sure there are cheaper masks out there that are good for oily skin.

I used to get this from target, and was my favorite mask, my face felt so clean after. However since they stopped selling it this was the only place I could find it. It came extremely watery compared to the one target used to carry…. Like to the point it’s hard to put on and not make a mess everywhere. It used to be much thicker, and having used it before I know to shake it a lot prior to using it. Ultimately the product still does the same as when I previously got it, but it’s So watery it goes on really thin compared to before, and hard to layer. I don’t think I will buy it from here again, as it just is too much hassle and with paying $15 more than what it cost at target.

I usually keep a bottle of this in my cupboard. It will dry the hell out of your skin if you use it too much, so the most frequently I'd use it on my whole face is once every week or two weeks. I reach for it about once a month. BUT the magic of it is when I want to zip up those pesky sebaceous filaments on my nose (and, on occasion, my cheeks). They're not very big, and I've never had much luck with pore strips. Slap a coat of this on my nose, though, and it'll suck all the gunk right out. You can actually see the little dots of oil on the dried clay. The mask washes off easily and then I have a smooth nose for makeup application. Have had some success using it as an overnight spot treatment too! Never ordered it from Amazon before...usually pick it up at Walgreens. Hopefully it's the legit product!

No as good as Glamglow but pretty good.

I absolutely love this mask. I had very acne prone skin, this paired with coconut oil has my face clearer than it has ever been. Make sure you moisturizer after this mask!
