The perfect duo to any desk setup
After months of putting off buying speakers and many hours searching the web, reading reviews on a range of desktop speakers i finally decided on the Audioengine A2+ speakers. I cant say you'd be disappointed with the choice, at least i wasn't in the slightest! First off the unboxing was impressive, with the speakers coming secured well in protective packaging and wrapped in microfibre cloth soft to the touch, with another 2 microfibre bags storing the connecting wires, the first impressions oozed a premium feel with these great microfibre carrying bags. The little speakers pack great audio, with a well rounded and crisp range of sound and considering the size of these little guys the base isn't bad at all! if you're a hardcore basehead you may need an external sub but for the regular user for the home office these are perfect in this size and produce amazing sound these put out considering their small form factor. Any audiophile will appreciate this great desk addition and make sitting at your desk all that more inviting and leaving you not want to get out your seat! The design of these blend in and look and feel very study, solid and most important quality. The problem i found personally when looking for desktop speakers is the majority don't compliment the desk and look out of place, tend to not look at nice and feel a bit cheap. This is certainly not the case with the A2s, they are a good weight in the hand, and the finish of the speakers is high end, from the smooth outer shell encasing the entire body to the drivers and back panels, you can tell these are premium quality and they sound as good as they look if not better! I wouldn't expect these to produce any rattle from weight of them allowing for vibration dampening through the padded underside on the bottoms. The volume control to the rear left isn't so much an issue at all, i adjust it to a certain level on the back and then control the volume though the device i'm using over bluetooth so turning the volume up or down can be done without issue. The setup was super simple to install and connect up to my devices, 5 minute job connecting the power and cable between the speakers and then pairing up to them with a bluetooth device. While they are some of the most pricey speakers when compared to its competitors in this range i believe them to be worth it. The build, sound, easy of use and looks of them top all my expectations and an investment well made with these 10/10 speakers!

Great Speakers
Purchased these to connected to record player and to Bluetooth from a phone. Setup was simple, the sound is fantastic and the compact form factor is perfect. Would definitely recommend. I originally bought a pair of edifer mr5 which I returned as they were too big.

I like them.
I do really like these. I'm not sure they are much of an upgrade on what I had previously in terms of quality but I also wanted something with a nice looking design so I'm happy. I have purchased these to replace my Bose companion 20 speaker which I used for ages and really liked. In terns of audio quality I would put them on par. However the Audioengine has much better adjustable options via the knobs on the back so I think if you have a use which requires a lot of adjustments then these would be ideal. To be clear the sound quality is amazing. I'm using them connected directly to a MacBook via the AUX port for video editing and I'm super impressed with the audio. They are pretty flawless too via BT albeit with a very slight lag (which is the only reason I use the cabled option for editing). The looks is excellent they feel luxury and present beautifully.

Absolutely stunning
I have an emotional relationship with these speakers. I know it sounds stupid but they are that good. With almost everything I play I hear details in the music that I'd never heard before. my problem now is that a favourite track comes on and I get distracted from working and get absorbed into the sound. The only thing you possibly could say against them is that they don't have the lower end bass that larger speakers have (compare with the A5s at 2.5x price), but they are only 11cm wide and 13cm tall. When I first tried them out in my kitchen I thought, nice, detailed but hollow. Turns out that's just not the situation they're designed for. They are desk speakers, not room filling speakers. Once set up either side of my desk within an arms length me the base is right there. You could add a sub if you really need that very lower end while working but for most people it's just not necessary. Bluetooth paring works with several devices and switches over seamlessly, although my laptop kept forgetting them so I used the usb cable from my docking station - just works. If left on for a while with nothing playing then they will auto power off so you have to reach round to the volume control and turn them off and on again to get them to wake up, no big deal. Also I had to get a longer piece of speaker wire to go between them because the supplied piece wouldn't reach round my desk, screens and shelves.

Superb compact computer speakers
These were purchased for use with my home office computer set-up which is where I spend most of my daytime 7-days a week. The sound quality is superb and I'm quite a fussy customer in this area. These Audioengine speakers have replaced a pair of Creative T40 speakers, which were also quite good, but I prefer the sound of these. On the value front, these are good but not perfect. They're quite expensive and I did think twice before buying them as the T40s were OK most of the time apart from a bit of mains hum (which was mostly cured by installing ferrites on the cables). Build-quality and finish of these Audioengine speakers are simply awesome, and they're very heavy for their physical size. Highly recommended. The only slight negative is the high-ish price, but I guess you sometimes have to pay a bit extra for quality.

Audioengine a2+ awesome desktop / bookshelf speakers.
These speakers are great, simple to setup, easy to use, highly recommend. I love listening to music whilst working from home, I did my due diligence before purchasing these and waited for them to be on sale. The reviews I read placed these at the mid point price wise, for a small speaker it packs a punch, takes up very little desk space, and the clarity of sound is awesome. To set the tone, I have had Creative labs speakers and Logitech speakers historically for computer use and these blow them away. Bluetooth connectivity was no issue, the usb C connection when to the computer/laptop without a problem. The quality of the boxing of the speakers and all you need to connect them being in the box, made it breeze.

Good, While They Work
I bought these speakers near the start of covid lockdown to improve my 'work-from-home' life. They sound fantastic for the size, and looked great on my desk. An excellent little treat for myself. Unfortunately, after around one year of use they stopped working completely. Audioengine were absolutely useless, telling me they couldn't help. The third-party seller also was unable to do anything. So I won't be buying from this brand again. It's a real shame as they were excellent while they lasted.
