Conair Lighted Makeup Mirror, LED Vanity Mirror, 1X/7X Magnifying Mirror, Double Sided, Corded in Polished Chrome

Excellent for my makeup area great lighting and good vision

Bought for my wife to use when she does not have access to her normal vanity in our room. This is a replacement for one she had prior to us getting together. The one I bought her is the corded one and not battery operated. We bought a similar battery operated one and was not happy with it, but this one works so much better. It looks to be of good quality and seems to be very sturdy. The lights on it are bright and get the job done.

I've reached that age where I need a magnification mirror for doing my makeup or plucking errant hairs from my face without ending up looking like a raccoon or poking my eye out. Conair has always been a good quality product and I knew I wanted a mirror by that manufacturer. This mirror is the perfect size for my dressing table, the magnification is perfect for makeup or plucking. It also looks nice. My only complaint is the brightness is not adjustable - it's just on or off - no color temperature change, no brightness levels. Which for me and my needs is ok for now.

I've purchased this before in the past and was happy to find it again. The previous one lasted me probably 10 years and then using that switch on the cord to turn it off and on finally gave out. This is obviously as you can see from the photos small enough to fit on your vanity table or desk but accommodates other items as well. It is two-sided. The magnifying is Extreme but if that's what you need this is the mirror for you. The light bulb in this one is a little bit of a strange white color but you can switch that out if you so choose. I use this every day to do my makeup and it's great for tweezing hairs and applying the perfect eyeliner. It's also not super large. The look is Sleek so it goes well if you want a stylish mirror.

I'm changing my review on this product, after having it now for only 5 months. Alright, after 1 month of use for maybe 20 mins each morning, the bulb inside was burnt out. One would think "no big deal, I'll just go to the hardware store and replace it". WRONG. It takes a Conair specific bulb you have to order, which is ridiculous. But okay, I bought the conair bulb and received it after 3 weeks of the mirror being inoperable. Worked fine again for another month, when I sat at the mirror in the morning and turned the dial to turn on the light, the dial fell apart in my hand, broken. So the light was stuck in the on position and I had to resort to unplugging it to turn it off, and just plugging it back in when I was ready to use it again. A bit of a pain honestly because that meant I had to pull out my vanity table every morning to get to the plug behind it. So in yhe course of the first 3 months I had nothing but issues.. one month into use the bulb burnt out, had to wait another month for the replacement to arrive, and only one month later, the dial broke apart randomly. Today I go to use it, and find that the wires inside the chord had split, probably from my having to unplug it and plug it back in every day since the dial broke, making it completely inoperable now. If this thing was made better, it would have been fantastic. But I regret this purchase now completely and I do not advise anyone looking at this product, to purchase it either.

Awesome mirror! It's just the right size, and the lighting is perfect. Having lighting on both sides is great. I've never been able to pluck my eyebrows so well! Its especially good for people such as myself who need to be able to get very close to the mirror in order to do makeup without glasses on. Also, the lighting makes it so that I never go outside and realize my makeup is way too dark or light because the lighting I did it in was bad. It also looks cute, which is a plus. As others have noted, it does get very warm. Never to the point of being uncomfortable to touch, but I wouldn't leave it on when you're not in the room. I just turn it on to do my makeup or pluck my eyebrows and switch it off as soon as I'm done, and I've had no issues with it. Overall, I'm very happy with this item! Exactly what I wanted and as described. (The picture with my hand shows the thickness of the side of the mirror.)

Finally found a makeup mirror that fits my needs. The height is perfect and the light is bright enough but it would be better if there was a dimmer switch then it would be perfect. There is no distortion in the mirror.

Funciona bastante bien, creo que tenemos con él como 3 o 4 meses y funciona bien. No hemos tenido que cambiarle los focos ni nada, enciende bien y sí tiene buena iluminación, no es tan pesado y se ve lindo.

My wife is fairly pleased with this purchase (which is the whole point, right?) The mirrors themselves are pretty good and clear. I've seen cheap mirrors that seem to give everything a mild texture, but these mirrors don't have that cheapness. The magnifying side really magnifies. As one review said, its definitely strong enough to see individual pores. I also like the oval shape as it seems more natural given how faces are generally shaped. But the important part is the lighting. Power is provided by a wall plug and not batteries, making this slightly less portable and tying it to a close plug. Not a huge deal, but if that is important to you, you should know that. Its a cheap cord with a cheap switch so be mindful when next to a sink or other water source. The lighting is bright enough especially when your face is right up to the mirror to use the magnifying part, but its slightly too dim when using the normal side. Its a decent accent light and helps fill some shadows, but don't expect it to light up your whole face by itself. I haven't noticed any heat buildup but they're definitely not LEDs inside, so some heat is going to be produced. On the other hand, its a relatively warm (colour) light without the harshness of cheap LEDs If they were bright LEDs with a good CRI, especially if the brightness was adjustable (its not), these would be 5-star. Otherwise, its a solid 4-star.

Liked the fact the light is electric and has perfect bright light to pluck eyebrows flawlessly.
