Wayne 1-1/2" Check Valve Kit

This item fits perfectly into the Wayne pumps. I originally was questioning why have a check valve that low and in the water. Quick answer, it is much more quiet. Previously, I had the check valve about 4 to 5 feet up, I though easier to reach and maintain if needed. However, having it up so high, you hear the thump and water rushing back down into the hole. Having it right on the sump pump makes it almost unnoticeable. In addition to the sound, I am no longer putting 4 to 5 feet of water back into the whole each time it runs, only an inch or so.

Recently installed this checkvalve on a new Wayne sump pump. Very simple installation. I used 1.25 inch pipe. You simply have to flip the rubber boot connector over and use the 2 clamps provided. Been raining 2 straight days since install so it is has been running a lot. Probably have 60-70 cycles on it so it’s very early in the longevity game. This is a new install. Previous stand pump was here and old when we moved into the house 27 yrs ago. We’ll see how this one holds up. Checkvalve is quiet and seals good (no back flow) so far. Arrived 3 days after ordering. No issues.

It is exactly as described and fit well. Made swapping out sump pump easier in a time when basement was flooding.
