I had been looking for a new spiralizer for some time. I had a handheld one that I hated. I tried using it several times and ended up donating it to a thrift shop. Maybe someone else can get it to work. I checked out all the horizontal gadgets and they were all so big and bulky and had separate blades that required storage. They also appeared to be unwieldy to operate because you have to hold and push at the same time youโre turning the crank. So I would have to depend on the strength of the suction holding the thing in place. I saw this little spiralizer and thought it solved several dilemmas: so much less to store, the most used blades are built in, and pushing down is a much more natural movement than pushing sideways. It was inexpensive enough that I figured if I used it and found it didnโt work, the thrift shop would have another donation. I LOVE this thing! It was easy to set up, easy to use, worked perfectly, was easy to clean, and takes up barely any room in a cabinet. I didnโt even have to depend on the bottom suction ring, although that appears to be quite sufficient. This little gem was easy enough to use without engaging the suction just because of the way itโs operated. I am beyond thrilled. I canโt believe I am this excited about a little kitchen gadget and I am a kitchen gadget freak. I want to spiralize everything and I will. I will update this review in a couple of months because there must be a downside to this purchase but I donโt yet know what it is. ๐ EDIT: I spiralized a sweet potato. On the smallest ribbon setting it didnโt really work but I turned the blade wheel to the blank side and made beautiful sweet potato chips instead. This worked perfectly for my use (dog food) and I bet would make delicious fried chips. Review: Does the job perfectly! - I spent ages looking at spiralizers and this waa definitely the right choice. I made perfect zoodles the first time with no practice. Half a zucchini fits in just right and the handle is really easy to turn. There was very little waste and the zoodles fell neatly into the container. I spiralized 3 zuchinni in a matter of minutes, though I did have to empty the container a few times. Cleaning was fine, I just rinsed the machine under the tap and used a brush to scrub loose pieces out. This product was exactly what I wanted and I definitely recommend it.

Almost Perfect
This spiralizer works really well. The only complaint I have is that the bottom suction did not last at all. It's still usable, I just hold it while I use it.

Easier to Use than a Horizontal Spiralizer
I love this little gadget. The built in bowl and the powerful suction cup make it very easy to use, and your food goes straight into the bowl. I have had 2 of the horizontal ones and didn't like that first I needed a large enough free space on my counter to use all 4 suction cups, then more room to put a dish to try and catch what I was cutting. This one has a nice small footprint, and you are pushing straight down from the top. The food goes straight into the bowl with NO mess on your counter. It is extremely easy to assemble and clean. I would sometimes avoid using the horizontal ones just because they were so bulky and a pain to get them out & put away. This nice compact unit pops right into whatever cupboard I want to put it, and I can just grab it with one hand and be spiralizing without any hassle setting it up. Don't be fooled by the low price, it's very well made and sturdy, it cut a Kohlrabi like it was butter.

Pleased with my purchase
I'll admit, I was a little skeptical on this. It is cheap and there weren't many reviews. I knew I wanted a vertical spiralizer due to my limited kitchen storage. This works very well! A little inconvenience, but not hard, you clean. I have to cut my zucchini in half to use it, but it makes great zoodles and salad toppings. I am pleased with this purchase!

Does the job.
I only wish it took all of the zucchini, you have go cut it into thirds, & even then it doesnt cut the last 2" of each piece, so like a third of the zucchini goes to waste. Also the bin is tiny & have to dump it out twice every zucchini. Which seems a bit excessive. I might be doing something wrong but the spirals are kinds wide & flat like something similar to a linguini or fettuccini, I wish it was more spaghetti shaped. But hey, it does the job & easy to clean. And cheap.
