Mayhew Tools has nailed the perfect size and length brass punch. The brass is extremely high quality, the finishing is equally as good. Very reasonably priced, can't go wrong with this brass drift.

Used this punch to remove bearing races in a set of RV brake drums. The brass is nice because it doesn’t damage the steel surface of the drum and is soft enough to conform to the edge of the race to aid in removal. I had to file the end of the punch a bit to better fit race I was removing but the brass is incredibly easy to shape with a file and it took just a few passes with the file to get the shape I needed.

Brought this to use knocking drive shafts in and out of hubs without damaging threads, wanted a larger one but couldn't afford it, but have really given this some hammerings and it works fine does the job and the end is only just starting to mushroom after multiple uses.

Its the best and most used tool in my tool box. Its real’y nice set of punches.
