Ernie Ball Glass Slide, Medium (P04228)

Excellent quality as always from Ernie Ball... One of the the product brands that has kept quality excellent. Sounds great. Not too heavy. And super smooth on the strings. Looks awesome if you like clear stuff.

Its shaped like the neck of a bottle (rounded on all sides). Fit was as expected. Its clear glass so consider your manicure as that finger will be seen. To be used as designed you only want to put one finger in it at a time. It has holes at both ends so you can insert your finger of choice into either hole with confidence as they are the exact same size but if you only like one holers you could probably buy a cork for one of the ends. The manufacture took great care and left no jagged or sharp edging that might cause bleeding and adversely affect your slide skills. I've dropped it more than once and there are no noticeable chips or cracks. There might be better made guitar slides but they would have to be metal and the sound would be more of a metallic sound. I like the sound of a glass bottle more than a butter knife but there may be more uses for a butterknife I'm not aware of. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is thinking of putting their finger in a bottle.

One of the difficulties of buying a slide online is that it really is difficult to guess the right size. Do i buy large? medium? This slide is a little larger than i anticipated and is loose on my ring finger and i have large hands. I can put something inside to make it fit better so its not really a big issue. Maybe this is the sort of purchase where you find out at the retail store which one suits your size best and then buy online for the best price i dunno. I suppose this is just the nature of buying something that is sized so personally. Still, with all that being said, this is an excellent slide and i just recorded what i consider to be a very fine electric guitar solo with it, so i would have to say i am very happy with having bought it and i give it 5 stars.

I don’t remember my ring size, but I’m 5’9” and 160 pounds, and the small fit my ring finger perfectly. I also like the thickness and length.

Works well and has a nice tone. Use on 6 string acoustic and 3 string cigar box guitars.

I don't know why most people thought this slide was too small for their fingers, it was great for all my fingers, and slightly tight for my index. The real problem is that the small slide is too short to reach all the strings on my guitar, so I have to slide it up and down, as well as back and forwards, which makes slide guitar more difficult. Also, part of my middle finger sticks out a little from the inside of the slide, which feels weird.

Perfect fit (large) for ring finger. Nice tone and shorter length than many which is actually a plus for control.

I don't have thick fingers, but this is ridiculous. This made for children's fingers, not adult hands. It should be clear, there is nothing wrong with the quality. Fast delivery as usual 👍

Best guitar slide, I prefer glass instead of steel for solid guitar, just go for it.
