Wabi-Sabi: Further Thoughts

An excellent companion to Mr. Koren's first Wabi-Sabi book. I love that he has shared some history and how his thinking has evolved over the years. For anyone interested in this way of being, the new volume resonates. It is, like the first, a keeper.

I am using this book as background for a retreat on kintsugi. Gave the history and surrounding meaning for restoration in a broken world.

This book takes me beyond the consideration of wabi sabi as a mode of art. It is a way, being nuanced by Zen masters in tea ceremonies. It is a good exploration of the subject.

I read the first Wabi-Sabi book by Koren over 15 years ago. It is my "bible". I am an artist, designer, purist, poet and aesthetic thought, practice guru & fanatic. Ok, I am an art nerd. Buy them both. Read and enjoy.
