Use a can opener and take off the top and bottom of the can. Use either the top or bottom to push the bread out of the can.

Yes you can eat it cold, warm or right out of the can.

What if my cans are dented? Can they be returned?

Absolutely. I would never accept a dented can. But you should be able to see if it's the edge or side of the can. The lip of the can dent may compromise the seal. A dent on the side should make no difference. If the dent bothers you, return them within the return window.
