Epic size, Epic difficulty, Epic fun
Epic is the biggest, most challenging and arguably the most stylish Perplexus created yet. I really like the sleek, predominantly white and blue design, which makes it look less like a children's toy and more like an art piece. I've seen some complaints from people that the limited choice of colors makes it harder to follow the track inside the ball, but I personally didn't have such problems. In terms of gameplay, Perplexus Epic works just like the Original and the Rookie versions, but with more, harder barriers. In this toy their number is 125, even though most of them are not that challenging. Because of its lengthy track and high difficulty, the designers of Perplexus Epic have added 3 additional starting points - at barriers 33, 56 and 91, so that you can practice each of the maze segments separately. This is a nice addition, since passing through the entire maze without failing even once is extremely hard thing to do. Epic, just like its little brothers, looks like a high quality, solidly built toy. However, I have to mention that it comes with a little sticker on top, stating that due to its "sculptural nature", it has to be handled carefully. I personally don't think that Epic is so fragile to worry about it, but probably some extra care wouldn't hurt. The only downside I've noticed so far is that due to the closeness between the track and the sphere, occasionally the marble gets stuck between them. Such issues never occur during gameplay however and can be easily managed by shaking the ball hard. Overall, Perplexus Epic is a great toy, which can entertain both kids and adults for many hours.

Entertainment for hours
My 4 yo love this toy so much and keeps me and my spouse entertained for hours. Definitely a difficulty with the puzzles that surpass all of our abilities, but it's fun for all of us.

Great concentration game
I love this thing. It's more difficult to make it through than other Perplexus balls that I've tried in the past. The first time I tried them at someone else's house, I thought it was just a simple kids toy. I've come to realize that they're great for concentration and hand eye coordination for all ages. It's something awesome to have around if you're someone that needs a brain break from other specific activities. I love that the ball comes with a little stand, so if I need to set it down I can do so without losing my place. The stand is a flimsy piece of plastic, so if it's for a younger child, the stand may not last long. It was hidden in the box and I almost threw it away by mistake. Anyway, the product is wonderful.

Amazing Puzzle for All Kids
Purchased this as a gift for my younger brother who has Asperger Syndrome. It was reccomended on a blog that I follow about related to kids with autism. He absolutely adored this ball! He's ten and has always really been into puzzles. He loves doing things with his hands and is great with critical thinking, so this really is the perfect toy for him. He is the type of kid that will sit with something for hours while he perfects it, so this has provided him many many hours of brain-powered stimulation. Having Asperger's he does tend to get very frustrated with certain things sometimes, and I do see him go towards that tendency with this at times, but I think the challenge takes over and it remains fun enough for him to keep at it. I think this is a wonderful toy for any kid, aspergers/autism or not. It is a wonderful tool for developing hand-eye coordination along with logic and problem solving. There is a lot of cause and effect happening in this ball with every twist and turn! Oh, and best of all. its really fun! I kinda want one for myself... It's a great way for an adult to relax and focus on something too!

An almost perfect puzzle/maze challenge. Buy it!!!!
I'd gladly give this product a well deserved 5 star review except for one small detail that is missed in the manufacturing of it that would make it so much easier and more enjoyable to play. That one detail is that the numbers and arrows on each obstacle really should be painted black so you can easily see which direction you are supposed to go next. I'm a 51 year old guy who has pretty good eyesight but in many places it's really hard to read the numbers that are molded into the paths since they are the same color as the tracks and obstacles. There are some areas where depending on how you move the ball you can accidentally go down the wrong path as I recently found out and was discouraged to find out I had skipped a whole section and wasted lots of effort and time on a wrong turn. If the makers of this puzzle ever start making them with painted numbers and arrows on the tracks I will gift mine to somebody else and buy a new one so I can see where I'm supposed to be going easier. For the time being though I'll just continue having to play it only in areas where I have very bright lighting. Now as far as the game goes there's nothing I can really say that others haven't already written about. It's a great game that I've spent many hours on and still have a LOT more hours to go to even stand a small chance completing this puzzle. Realistically I don't see myself ever finishing it from start to end, but that's OK because If I ever did I'm sure I'd be bored with it and never pick it up again. This is a good game for anybody who is patient and not easily frustrated since it is guaranteed to frustrate anybody who attempts to beat this puzzle. It's a lot of fun and frustration all built into one that will be enjoyed by just about anybody who tries it. Hopefully the inventor of this game will make an even bigger and harder puzzle for those of us that enjoy this type of maddening challenge.

Really enjoy this game. There is 125 obstacles to clear. They are not getting more difficult as you go, but there are more challenging ones in between the easier ones and of course, it always has a twist on the play back. It is a truly ingenious 360 degree maze that runs back and forth on the top and bottom of the track, as you go along. Don't know what the other reviewer is writing about no real start or end in the game.... you start at obstacle 1, end at obstacle 125. (NOT EASY) There are four start points. The start, at #1 and then there is three practice spots as they put it, basically you do not have to start at point one every time. The practice start points purely give you the option to start your play, later in the maze, and gives you ample practice runs for the maze, at different parts of the puzzle. This is not the shortest one as one other reviewer put it, this is the epic version, with 125 obstacles. There are other versions with shorter maze courses that are more easy to complete. If you like a challenge that can last you for hours of fun, this is your game. They say it is for children, but the maneuvers you have to do to get the ball through certain parts, are most definitely for teens or adults. Yes! You need patience and control. I got the purple version, and it is the new colour version. Previous colour is blue and Grey. Still the same epic puzzle, with no difference in quality. My ball has not get stuck anywhere. Had it for three weeks now and played for hours and hours. Still could not get a perfect run..... It is really fun and I recommend this for puzzle lovers. I love it so much, I am trying to get my hands on the blue and grey version.
