The Good: Easy to Use - Plug it into any outlet, turn it on and cook. Easy to Clean - Just wipe off the surface. Performance - Incredibly fast heating of food. Can boil water faster than any stove I've ever used before. Portable - If I'm searing a steak and going to smoke out the house, simply take it to the front porch! Efficient - Can reduce the power usage from 1800W to 900W with the push of a button if I want to use a coffee pot or microwave that's on the same circuit. Then when I'm done with that, put again to take the burner back up to 1800W. Surprisingly useful. Cons: Requires that you use the right cookware, if a magnet will stick to the pot, it'll work. Overall: I don't usually write reviews, but this device is so amazing that yea, it deserved one. I'd recommend it and I'd buy it again.

Purchased this cooktop while waiting for a new stove installation. It is amazing. It’s adjustable heat levels and ease of use is phenomenal. It’s quiet and easily stored when not needed.

I just love an induction top that works well. Heats quickly and has the induction top safety. This one has temperature settings and thermostats, not just numbers, and that's really nice. Comes with a little book recommending temperatures for different cooking purposes. In the Eastern US, where most state parks have electricity, it works great as a camp stove. Very easy to carry around. Great purchase.

When pan frying with an iron skillet, I noted uneven heating. There is a circular spot in the center that is cooler. Bacon started browning on the edges before the center. This must be a result of the shape of the induction coil. It creates a donut shaped heat zone with a "hole" in the middle. I noted the same uneven heat with a cast iron grill pan. It heats quickly. Very impressive boiling water. If you lower temperature it almost instantly stops boiling. Soup and pasta work great. The noise and uneven heat are not deal breakers for me. One star off. Over all, I am pleased. If you can work around the uneven heat, you will like the quick response to temperature change. The controls are well laid out. 10 degree increments in temperature from 100F to SMOKIN'. Programmable cooking times and temps. Three wattage settings. If you overload a breaker, you can lower the power consumption. It slows down the heating, but not much.

I might have got the last one amazon had the only issue was on the sides there was some cosmetic damage to the unit which has not affected the performance of the unit at all. I have not had this long enough but so far this is a game changer when it comes to speed of cooking and ease of cleaning it. I should have purchased one a long time ago. Update;;;;;;; I did not realize this was a return item until I went to register the warranty on it. This would explain why it had cosmetic damage. I would not have purchased this if I had caught it was a return with no warranty on it. That was my MISTAKE.

OMG probably the best purchase in the last few years. My gas range is old and the burns don't work correctly even after cleaning burner vents. The first time I used this I was sold. SOOOOOOO HAPPPPPY

they sold me a unit that isn't working. I Bought it for emergencies incase the gas went out. and after 8 month when i did pull it out of the box and tried to use it, it won't work. and because it's been so long they won't return it either
