Injustice 2 (2017-2018) Vol. 6
S**S
The injustice 2 backstory reaches it's conclusion.
On a humorous note I have discovered what happens when the green lanterns decide to give Lobo, a green lantern ring. I also like the fact that in the back of this volume, it includes a generous amount of concept artwork, depicting what Lobo could look like as a green lantern. I also like all the sketches of the cover art that's included in this volume.Alfred pennyworth's story in Vol.6 was fairly moving. Alfred realises that he is not the same person he was, before he was murdered in the IGAU comics. After being resurrected in the Lazarus pits, the faithful butler to Bruce Wayne decides that it would be best if he said his goodbyes and, leaves Gotham. The best part was when Alfred said to Bruce that he loved him, like he was his own son.Meanwhile Brainiac arrives, just as Superboy and, Wonder Girl are assisting the Green Lanterns in their battle with Atrocitus and, the Red Lanterns. After capturing both conner & cassie, Brainiac realises that he has no further use for them, and, ejects them out in the cold vacuum of space, leaving them to die. However the Legion of Superheroes arrive just in time to rescue them from a deadly fate.Injustice 2 Vol.6 also explains how Gorilla Grodd aligns himself with Brainiac. So that Brainiac can use Grodd to help him plot his attack on planet earth. As always the writing by Tom Taylor is pretty good, but, it does get more than a little bit political at times. The artwork is done to a very high standard. The annual included in this volume, which I think is called 'Worlds Finest'. Which brings the Injustice 2 comics to its conclusion.

Seems rushed
The last in a great run, however it seems to drift off at the end as if they'd kind of got bored and although brainiac is the main villian in the final game gets about 2 pages of prep in here.Still good but could have been better..i so hope the do a third run.Great artwork as usual

No ending?
As the other reviews have said, there's no real ending? I don't mean it fizzles out, I mean it gears up ready for a final battle, and then it just stops as if there are 2 of 3 comics missing. One reviewer mentioned that you see the conclusion on youtube, that's not (to me) an acceptable answer

Damn good
If only this could have been an ongoing series. Green Lantern Lobo was hilarious, that would have been a great series as well. The annual was probably one of the best Batman/Superman issues ever, and a great exploration of their relationship.I've read most of the Injustice saga in the last 5 days or so, and Injustice 2 was definitely the best of the series. Tom Taylor really understands these characters and is not afraid to do new things with them. Truly well done.

Sticks the Landing with a Beautiful Ending
I had a lot of issues with the previous two volumes of Injustice 2. I thought they were messy, filled with distracting subplots, and had no core story to follow. While my criticism still stands, I have to backpedal when it comes to this final volume.Like the last volume, there is a little too much time spent on the redemption of Hal Jordan and the battle against Starro. You can feel the external influence of the video game tie-in driving a lot of this volume, I think--needing to set up Hal, Grodd, and Brainiac, while also explaining the absence of most of the Teen Titans, Booster Gold, Ra's al Ghul, and Sinestro in the Injustice 2 video game. There's a lot of moving chess pieces around the board, and it's not always done gracefully. But what really makes this volume work well is the back half and the ending. In particular, the final issue, which focuses on the friendship between Batman and Superman prior to the latter's fall from grace and is the perfect thematic and emotional ending.I've seen a lot of reviews complain that this is a "cliffhanger" that doesn't end the story. I disagree. If the first Injustice series was about the fall of Superman, the main arc of Injustice 2 has been about the fallibility of Batman. While Batman never crosses lines quite like Clark, the difficulties he faces in restoring the world order slowly expose his own weaknesses, like his controlling nature, signaled by his increasing use of Brother Eye. The main journey in this series, I think, has been Batman confronting his failings, and opening up the possibility of forgiving, or at least considering redemption for, Clark, which sets the stage for the Injustice 2 video game and the battle against Brainiac. All in all, this was not a perfect series. I wish it spent more time on the core story of Batman's struggle to maintain order rather than distracting subplots (like, I still have no idea why Batman's daughter was a thing in this). But I'll be damned if this isn't an incredible inversion and exploration of some of DC's best characters. Tom Taylor is definitely one of the best talents DC has right now, and I strongly recommend this series to all DC fans.
