Skin Food Original Ultra-Rich Body Cream 2.5 Fluid Ounce, Plant Rich Hydrating Moisturizer with Pansy, Chamomile and Calendula

I absolutely love this product. I find it to have a pleasant, mild smell and a nice consistency. It is thick but spreads really nicely and gives kind of a sheen to the skin. It absorbs quite well on the body and face. Compared to other plant based creams I’ve used, this one is much less greasy and leaves the skin nicely moisturized without any after effects. I have discovered a specific use for it that cancels the need out for another cosmetic product, namely brow gel. I find this leaves my eyebrows softened and keeps them in place, also gives a bit of shine that is even nicer than the eyebrow gel I’ve bought from sephora. I especially like that Weleda Skin food products are gentle enough to use as an eye cream when you need that extra hydration to fight winter dryness.

I power through California summers, by focusing on the upcoming winter, and how much I’ll appreciate every rainy day, the scent of petrichor, every cozy night in, the absence of mosquitoes, and being forced to wear clothes so drenched in sweat, you could literally wring them out at the end of the day… 🥵 The only thing I DON’T appreciate is how itchy, flakey and dry my skin is throughout my favorite season. Combined with battling cystic pimples every month with AHA’s, BHA’s, Tretinoin, my skin is practically snowing! 😩 ENTER WELEDA SKIN FOOD; a MIRACLE for dry, itchy, flaky skin. Why trust my review? Well, I’ve tried a lot of heavy thick creams in attempt to quench my extremely parched skin; CeraVe w/ Hyaluronic Acid, Nivea, First Aid Ultra Repair, even La Mer — none were nearly as effective or worked half as long as WELEDA SKIN FOOD. But my skin isn’t just dry, it’s also sensitive, prone to blackheads, cystic pimples, dark spots, and at 39, (going on 25 😉), it also struggles to turn over on its own, which easily leads to congestion, especially on my face. To prevent pimples that will inevitably leave scars and dark spots, I have to continue using Tretinoin and other chemical exfoliants during the wintertime, and trust me —IT SHEDS to an unsightly and embarrassing degree, but I’ve found a significant amount of relief from WELEDA. It not only keeps my skin hydrated for several hours, but it significantly minimizes the appearance of flaking skin and leaves it glowing and dewy without clogging my pores. But, I believe this product could be better if there was an “unscented” option. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a terrible scent; it’s a bit minty and sweet, and it does go away after you apply it, but some people, like myself are sensitive to secrets, and there’s NO reason why any skincare product should have scents added to them. That’s my only complaint/suggestion. Other than that this cream is perfect and like many reviews say, it works perfectly as a makeup primer. It IS thick, and it can sometimes be hard to spread around, but I find that I’d you apply it over a serum, it’ll spread quite smoothly over the skin. (This review is 100% honest and incentive-free)

I’m in my 40s, dry skin, and have been using this as my face skincare for almost 10 yrs. I use to use other “anti aging” skincare like retinol but I’ve replaced everything with just this one product, it is THAT good. I love that it’s simple, clean plant ingredients, and protects the skin barrier. It is thick, rich, and gives skin a lasting glow. Love the recent switch to a metal tube instead of plastic!!

Okay this is one I always keep on hand. It’s thick, rich, and perfect when your skin is dry or just needs extra help. I use it on dry patches, hands, and even as a glow booster on my face sometimes. It gives that healthy, dewy look without needing a ton of product. Definitely one of those little staples that does more than you expect. It leaves my skin, smooth and hydrated with burst of moisture, and my skin looks Dewey and hydrated every time I use it.

At age 65 I was introduced to Weleda by a professional makeup artist who used this as a primer under my makeup. Not only has my makeup looked amazing... so many compliments... but, my skin does too!! The product is quite thick, so you need to rub it on your finger-tips to soften it up. I pat it on, bc rubbing it on pulls my skin. A little goes a long way, fyi. My skin soaks up the moisture which Weldeda refers to as 'Skin Food', AND IT IS. PTL. Personally, I love the fragrance; it is very outdoorsy and calming. Lastly, do not get me started on the price! It is so affordable! Big name moisterizers, not to mention primers, can cost 4 to 5 times the price. For that reason alone this product is worth a try.

I love this cream. My face and hands get so dry, especially during the winter. Weleda Skin Food to the rescue. I love the scent, it can seem strong at first, but doesn’t linger. No bad ingredients. Lots of botanicals. It initially feels heavy going on, but my skin absorbs it quickly. I also use the body butter, it’s lighter in fragrance and moisturizes my skin well without feeling greasy.

I can see why this is a cult favorite. 1/It’s a great multi-purpose moisturizer that lasts all day. 2/It’s an effective night cream to wake up with super moisturized skin. 3/It’s highly nourishing for my cuticles, hands, elbows, heels. 4/It’s wonderful under makeup and doesn’t cause it to run or disappear. Just make sure you use a few dots and allow them to sink in for a few minutes before applying liquid or powder foundation. I also use it under my eyes and let it sink in before applying my concealer then dust very lightly with powder to ‘set it’ and it lasts all day. No drying out and no settling in lines. Just don’t apply too much as a little goes a long way. 5/ I like that it’s a trusted clean product formulated without a plethora of unnecessary harmful chemical ingredients. It’s on my “forever” product list because it checks all the boxes. I’m a minimalist- Only a few highly effective products make it here and stay. Hint: Be smart and get a tube crimper so you get all the product out and keep the tube from cracking

There is so much hype about this product, especially, "supposedly" a multiple celeb fave.....I don't get it. I love that it is a clean product, and it does moisturize well, although I wouldn't tell anyone to put this specific cream on their face at all! I got the skin food original ultra rich body cream. It's too thick and greasy for the face. Anyway, I can't get past the scent, Its strong and its AWFUL! I have only put it on my hands, and I just cannot tolerate the smell. My cat hates it too! I wanted to try more of their products, but now I am pretty hesitant. sigh. and I guess Im throwing this cream in the trash.

My face skin totally colapsed the passed winter and was super dry and just trubble. I've read about this product and the bennefits it provides. And my face is sooooo soft, looks amazing and I just love it so much. Will buy again ofc 🙏🥰💯

Very emollient and excellent for dry skin, I use it on my face on top of serums. Strong green & floral scent but pleasant, dissipates after application, which I don’t mind at all. Good value for money!
