It is a great product for dressing an open wound because it does not stick to it. It is a cohesive product. All the nooks and carnies of this material interlock with each other when you wrap the wound. It comes off easily and without re-injuring a partially healed wound.

I dislocated my left ring finger. The doctor used this to wrap the finger, and I continue to use it (until the finger doesn’t hurt any more). The material holds well to itself - it is, after all, a 3M product. Would definitely recommend it.

For him: no skin irritation, wrap is not thick nor thin, good quality, good versatility, coban by purpose is flexible as it can be used as a wrap on all limbs, the material is "normal" for any coban wrap, not tight, doesn't stick to hair, is not uncomfortable on skin. He uses coban almost every day, so he needs a reliable, quality product.

These were recommended to me by my friend who is a retired hand therapist. Unfortunately, they weren’t sticky enough. They also weren’t strong enough to keep my finger from bending despite the overlapped wrap technique. I only took down one star because of feel like they may have worked better if I’d used a splint. But by the time I got them my finger was already almost pain free. So I didnt bother. I had just hoped they would do the trick and I wouldn’t have to resort to additional material.

Excellent product for medical use!

This 3M Coban self-adherent wrap is one of those rare products that does exactly what it claims — and does it really well. From a technical standpoint: excellent elastic recovery, consistent compression, strong cohesive bonding (it sticks to itself, not you), and zero need for clips, tape, or swearing. From a practical standpoint: it stays put. No slipping. No unraveling. No mid-day rewrap crisis. It provides firm, even compression without cutting off circulation or turning into a sweaty mess. The material is breathable, latex-free, and water-resistant, which means it survives real-world use instead of disintegrating the moment life happens. Also worth noting: you can reposition it without destroying the wrap, which feels like sorcery but is apparently just solid engineering by 3M. I bought this expecting “good enough.” What I got was industrial-grade reliability wrapped in a tiny roll. Already reordering. Highly recommend.

Works as it should

My first order of five rolls was excellent. Inside the rolls of tape were the letters UK. Two weeks later I re-ordered another five rolls of the exact same thing, and this time I got rolls from a different seller. The rolls have the letters NL inside, which I learned is the code for the non-latex version. They are nowhere near as good as previous version! The worst thing is that the tape does not stick well to itself, so I have to use other tape on top. It’s also lighter in weight. Amazon shouldn’t sell two items that are so different without customers being able to choose which version they want.

This Coban tape is the real deal. Perfect width and perfectly sticky. The last stuff I bought at the pharmacy wouldn’t stick; I used bandaids to keep it on. Doctor ordered overnight relief for tendon issues in the fingers, lightly wound. It does help.

Buen ancho

It does not look it would work but it does when you apply this tape it some how adheres to itself and later hard to tell where is the part that you attached. It is not stick and it electricity is great. Great for wrapping the edge of the gauze needing to close.
