Had one before. This one is Thicker and firm. Very comfortable !

Last year, my brother had been in a car wreck, and has been in terrible pain for more than a year. It made sitting in his recliner a tedious experience, and when I visited him, I decided to try and help him out. I have a number of seat cushions of this type, and so I ordered him one. He placed it on his recliner, and sat down with an "Ahhhh." We watched a football game together, the only time he was able to come out of his room for an extended period of time. He said it was the first time he hadn't been in excruciating pain while sitting in a year. He was so happy, it brought him to tears. He uses it in his car while driving, and at the table so that he can craft items he sells in his online store. It gave him a sense of freedom he hasn't had in quite done time. I have several cushions of this type, and can say that it makes sitting, and driving, a much more pleasant experience. I recommend these to anyone needing seat relief. They make road trips so much better!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Good not bad

While this cushion was everything I needed for my at home office chair that was not cushioned well, the workmanship is what is disappointing. There are holes where the zipper is supposed to meet with fabric and the gel cushion can be seen and felt. Just poor workmanship. Also, it does continuously slide out of my chair. I have to constantly shift it. I don’t consider this a cheap purchase either compared to what was out there.

I tried out a molded memory foam with gel insert first. It was too thick for driving, too hard for desk work. It didn't alleviate pain nor provide balanced cushioning, so I returned it. I tried a slightly thicker and smaller gel cushion for driving from a different vendor, but it didn't provide enough support, like a soft sidewall automotive tire of lower quality. Perhaps good for a lounge, restaurant or stadium seating, but not for what was needed. So I returned it. Then I tried out this cushion. The right amount of support, the proper amount of stiffness, for work, driving, anything. If you have a bony behind and really get into your sedentary work, this is a must have. Behind no longer hurts. Lower back pain minimized. The thickness is just right for driving also, with height adjusted. It doesn't swish you around on tight turns. It hangs with sport driving. There's an idea: a sport line - for driving, gaming, etc. *If using for driving, BE SURE to measure the part of your seat where the cushion will go, especially if you have deep sport seats, and estimate with the given thickness if it will fit properly. You don't want the cushion to be spilling off to the sides, making it uncomfortable. There are two sizes for this item and only one may fit, maybe both but make sure you compare dims to save yourself time, trouble, and cost. Nice and soft. Perfect for when have to sit for long periods of time.

Just over one year ago I purchased this cushion on 03-14-2022. I am 6’1” and 185 lbs. I, and my multiple CNAs, believe this is not an actual gel cushion. The inner honeycomb pad is some kind of flexible rubberized material. Each day I sit upwards of 16 hours on my disability scooter and this cushion. This cushion is more comfortable than my first cushions which were foam doughnut-hole cushions. All I do is sit on this honeycomb cushion. It has never been subjected to rough usage. However, within the first year the inner honeycomb pad has already had one of the “combs” tear apart and; separately, a hole has developed in the cover. I would only buy this cushion again if I couldn’t find an actual GEL cushion which I suspect would provide a more comfortable cushioning. If you are looking to cushion, say, an office chair, you might get two years out of it, assuming you don’t subject it to any rough foreplay, if you know what I mean. It only deserves three stars but I want many to read this.
