This curler set is a nice, compact set and a great size for travel. The curlers heat quickly and there are enough curlers in various sizes to give me that extra bounce I wanted. I didn’t want or need an overly big set of curlers so this set fit the bill for me perfectly.

This is my first time trying heated rollers so I can’t compare, but I bought these for a wedding and I’m glad I did. Getting ready took longer than I thought, but I popped these in my hair when I started doing my makeup and took them out before we left for the ceremony and I had lots of body and curl all day (with hairspray) and I barely did anything to my hair other than put these in. The rollers have a comb side which really helps the hair smooth out and not get tangled. The clip things aren’t great, but they do the job with some adjustments. The package is small and was great for travel. For the price and convenience I’m really pleased. It was a little weird having different size curlers which created different curls on my head, but there were too few of each to use just one type of curler at a time. So I’m not sure if I just don’t know how to use the different curlers properly to get a good effect, or if I should buy a separate set of just large or medium rollers. I have no idea. If you have advice, please share. But the effect with all the rollers on my head wasn’t bad, just a little wild-looking ;)

I really, really wanted to love these. The size is perfect for traveling and in carry-on luggage. It is compact and contains the right number and sizes of rollers. The instructions booklet says they heat up in 90 seconds, but I waited 15min and they were barely warm, even though I left the case closed per the instructions. Returned today. Darn. I will continue searching.

They work fine and are compact for travel. But be prepared to buy extra clips since quality control is not strong. You’ll not get the right clips for all the rollers.

From the negative reviews I did not expect much from these, which I bought to use for travel, but I am perfectly happy with them. Maybe it's because I have been using hot rollers since they first became available in the 70s, but I find nothing wrong with these. They are the smallest set I have ever seen, which is what I wanted. I chose only four stars because I would have preferred a set with all "jumbo" rollers, and I only really need six or seven. I suppose the little ones will come in handy when I get my next haircut, though. To address the common complaints: The rollers do not have to feel blazing hot to your hand in order to work. The first time I used them I let them heat for about ten minutes, and they were only warm to the touch. I put them in anyway thinking I could always let them heat up longer if they didn't work. They worked fine, giving me great bouncy long-lasting curls even though they weren't hot enough to singe my ears like other sets I've owned. If you take a second or two to actually LOOK at the clips (which are indeed all tipped in white) it is *obvious* that there are three distinct sizes. If you use a clip that is the wrong size for the roller, it will either fly across the room or the roller will fall out of your hair. Start with the biggest rollers and the biggest clips, and you'll be fine. I should have ignored the negative reviews and not bought the Conair super clips to go with them, because they are not needed. The wire clips work just fine. Put them in from UNDER the roller, going against the direction of the curl, with the rounded end close to your scalp and the open end (bent end on top) sticking up. I actually prefer the wire clips because the big clips on my regular set always leave crimps in my hair. The wire clips never do. For the record, my hair is right at shoulder length and baby fine, and there's a lot of it. I had no "frizzy ends" issues at all. To sum up: They're small, they're designed well, they're perfect for travel (with dual voltage too!), they do the job, they won't burn your ears, and for Maude's sake, they only cost $11.58! You'd pay more than that for a premium martini.

Works good, they get hot which is a plus! Considering the other 3 I tried didnt!!

This is a review of Conair's Instant Heat Compact Hot Rollers. I needed a small set of hot rollers and I really wanted mostly large rollers, so I purchased this set and also Conair's Compact Multi-Size Hot Rollers , thinking I could make my own set by combining them. After receiving them I decided not to try that as they are made of different looking materials. To test them, I rolled my hair using both types, so I could compare these against Conair's Compact Multi-Size. I am a middle-age woman with fine hair, and it has always been a challenge to get hot rollers to stay in my hair when I use them and to get my hair to stay on the rollers. Not with these! I have used many different types of hot rollers over the past decade, and I have never, ever found a hot roller that stayed in my hair like the Conair Instant Heat Compact Hot Rollers! For that reason alone I would give this set five stars. These rollers produced a long lasting, strong curl. They stayed in my hair the whole time (probably 20 minutes), even as I went about my daily tasks while waiting for them to cool. I have almost shoulder length, fine hair, but I have plenty of it. There is only one con that I noticed on these and that is I struggle to get them back into the case. I think there is a certain way they fit back in and I did not notice what it was when I first used them. But that is so minor compared to finding rollers that work so well with fine hair. A great buy - I highly recommend these. UPDATE: I have now had these rollers a couple of weeks and I actually got a second set so I would have more jumbo rollers overall. I keep them plugged into a surge protector strip and whenever I want to heat them, I just turn the strip on. Fitting the rollers back into the case got easier when I saw that the bottom part fits in a certain way. If you do not click the roller into place, it does not heat well the next time. See photos for detail. Overall, I still really like these rollers, but I still wish Conair offered a set of about 16 jumbo rollers with only 4-6 smaller ones. The jumbo ones produce a much prettier (non-poodle looking) curl.

Rovers are fine and good however IT WAS DELIVERED TO THE WRONG DOOR. I SPECIFICALLY STATED THE BACK DOOR AND IT WAS DELIVERED TO THE FRONT DOOR!!! WOULD SOMEBODY PLEASE READ THE GD DIRECTIONS!?!?

Funcionan muy bien. Pero era un regalo y la cumpleañera prefirió devolverlo por no tener pinzas. Yo no me los quedo porque ya tengo. Se calientan rápido y hacen tirabuzones que aguantan hasta que te lavas el pelo.
