20V MAX Cordless Drill and Driver, 3/8 Inch, With LED Work Light, Battery and Charger Included (LDX120C)

I bought this as a Warehouse Deal, in the original box with a couple of scuffs, for $30 with free 2 day Prime shipping. My use is on my workbench for various drilling, brushing and cleaning jobs, as well as driving small fasteners while using the clutch. It's a second drill driver to supplement my Hitachi 10.6V unit, which has served me well for quite a few years now with no failures. My first impression of the unit is that it's certainly not commercial grade, but it's performance is impressive thus far. Very powerful and torquey for it's size and price. A nice touch is the wide base which makes it very stable when set down, not top heavy at all. The lithium ion battery is a vast improvement over the older NiCad technology, lightweight and powerful, and very forgiving of less than attentive battery charging habits like leaving it partially discharged between uses. It has a slight lag between trigger pull and motor start that takes a little getting used to, but it's a fraction of a second and not a big deal or time waster. The clutch is OK and does the job quite well; the chuck is of decent quality too. It lacks some features of more expensive units, like dual speed ranges and a higher number of clutch positions, but the gear ratio provided seems like a nice compromise between speed and torque. Overall, it's compact and lightweight, and a perfect fit for the bench work I do. The battery charger design is a bit less than optimum, somewhat cheaply made and requiring 2 hands to connect the battery to it, again not a big deal but a "drop in" charger is a better design and my personal preference. I honestly had not planned to buy a second drill driver for my bench, but at the price I couldn't pass it up and it allows me to have 2 drivers set up for different uses, and thus saves time by minimizing bit changes. My 5 star rating is based on ease of use, build quality, and power versus size and weight, and the very low price paid for a tool that will be used daily for years to come. I'm very pleased with it thus far as an "entry level" drill driver; it's just what I needed. It also bears mentioning that the compact size and lighter weight make it a great fit for female users, or anyone who wants good performance from a very compact and easy to handle, yet quite powerful, drill driver. Update 05JUL22: I've had this drill driver for about 5.5 years now, and thought that updating this review would be appropriate. I use it several times a week typically, so it has accrued a lot of hours and handling. Still works like new, even the clutch which sees a lot of adjustment for various driving jobs. Battery still holds a charge like it did when new. The compact size and light weight of this tool really make it shine for day-to-day light duty work. For the price paid I can't gripe about a missing low speed / high torque setting, but if there's anything missing it would be that. I expect several more years of use out of this drill based on its current condition. I wish every tool I own gave me this much value for the price paid. Will buy another if this one ever wears out or fails. The Hitachi I mentioned earlier in this review (Model DS10DFL) has suffered a broken clutch detent spring at about 10 years old, and while waiting for parts this Black and Decker is substituting nicely.

Great medium duty general purpose drill/driver. I bought 3 of these ( I lost one..) so that I can keep one around the house and have the other in my traveling tool kit. Weight is relatively light but just heavy enough to help with stability while using at various angles. The multiple voltage batteries are also a great option that makes these outstanding tools. Highly recommended.

This is a good drill at a price point that the casual homeowner can use. I have 4 other B&D tools in the 20 volt MAX series and they all work just fine. The reason I deducted a star is the battery that came with the drill is defective. It won't charge at all. I decided to keep the drill set as I have multiple 20 volt batteries with my other B&D tools. This drill replaces my old Porter Cable drill as the Ni-Cad batteries are getting hard to find and they are heavy as well. I believe that the company that owns the B&D name also owns several of the high end brands.

I've owned this drill for almost 10 years (purchased in 2016) and it is still going strong. I use it almost every week for light tasks such as screwing/unscrewing and making pilot holes. Every few months it gets used on heavy duty projects like drilling hundreds of holes on hardwood or concrete. I'm still using the same battery pack and I've been impressed by how long it lasts... I rarely have to charge it. With a good quality drill bit set, this baby will do almost anything the regular DIY'er needs!

Malheureusement , je n'ai jamais recu cette perceuse! Tres decue! J'en avais deja achete une lorsque j'habitais a l'etranger. Je suis rentree vivre en France il y a qqles mois, donc je l'ai laisse la-bas a un de mes enfants. J'en ete tellement contente, car facile d'utilisation, assez legere , tres bonne qualite, pratique et durable, qu'en decouvrant la meme a un prix si bas, j'en ai recommande 2. Mais malheureusement, je ne les ai jamais recues! Donc remboursement! Quel dommage!

This is my 2nd B&D 20V drill. I dropped the first one and the trigger stopped working. The 20V battery lasts forever! The drill is strong and fast. Get it if you're a DIY person looking for a cordless drill to do all kinds of jobs around the house.

Good but my expectations. Only one battery. No suitcase.

Black & decker LDX120 - Taladro inalámbrico/destornillador, es una excelente herramienta para el hogar, muy útil, practico y sencillo de usarse, tanto para mujeres como hombres, indispensable para el hogar, se recomienda ampliamente, además tiene un precio muy accesible, el cual se justifica ampliamente con su utilización, te ayuda a resolver tus problemas para perforar y atornillar y destornillar, buena herramienta.

Requiero muchos trabajos ligeros y medianos y hasta ahora el taladro ha superado las expectativas. No es rotomartillo y es de bajas revoluciones (600 RPM) asi que creo no es recomendable para trabajos pesados. Por el precio me parece una muy buena herramienta, practica y disponible facilmente, especialmente para para trabajos caseros. La entrega de Amazon fue excelente.
