Very clear
I already had a P3 S, which I like, but I absolutely love this P5 S. I used it for a gig at a restaurant, and the vocal clarity was so good. Really glad I pulled the trigger on this mic

Great choice!
AKG P5 is perfect for blog recording. It has a more brilliant tone than all the other mics i tested, which cuts through the mush of cell phone and laptop speakers to present with clarity. The bass tones are well balanced. This mic is sensitive to handling noise, but in an inexpensive bungie mount it works just fine. I am very pleased. Excellent quality and performance, and value! Totally beats Shure SM58. I will never go Shure again!

Outstanding Performance
I’ve only owned AKG mics. This one is really great. Noise cancellation, dynamic sound and worth the money. I use it for instruments as well as voice.

Works like a charm
Great mic, easy to use. On/off switch was a priority for me, and this one is easy to use and see while it's set up. No feedback or wind noise, etc. come through. Great product.

So far- very impressed!
I have a very low, mellow female voice, and after looking and looking, i think i have found a WONDERFUL microphone for myself! I use Shure mics and Sennheiser mics almost exclusively, but all seem to sound muffled or muddy with my voice. This is a great mic for the price- so far, so good!

I compared this with SM58 which is great so I am in no way suggesting it isnt... The AKG P55 though is also extremely great for me due to the pickup pattern when I play piano and it sounds brighter. Im very happy with this product

Dynamique, peu sensible aux bruits de fond et aux retours. ❌ Points négatifs : Poids légèrement supérieur à certains micros dynamiques, mais reste maniable. Aucun autre défaut notable pour une utilisation live professionnelle. 👉 Résumé : Un excellent micro dynamique pour les performances live, fiable, robuste et doté d’un son de qualité professionnelle.

I bought three of them because I saw a review about another model that is related to them which is AKG D5. By the time I was looking for the D5 I could not find more than one so I went with p5 which is closer to D5. Like other reviewers have said that you must be careful with cable. So in my case it was an issue with the connector first. Once I open the connector and saw that the ground wire was not connected and since it is using an XLR cable, the ground wire is usually not connected in normal or low quality connectors. So I just went to a technician to connect the ground wire in the connector and the microphone started working perfectly. So that is something you need to do. If you find yourself that your microphone is not working, you should check the connector that the ground, which is the middle wire is also connected and not just left out.

I’ve been using the AKG P5S for sports announcing in indoor arenas, and it performs exceptionally well. The sound is clear, powerful, and focused, with great feedback rejection even in noisy environments. The built-in on/off switch is handy during live events, and the sturdy build gives confidence for regular use. Highly recommended for anyone doing live sports commentary or arena announcing.
