CitraSolv Natural Solvent 32 fl oz Liquid

This is the best product I’ve found for removing labels and greasy gunk. I try not to run out of it because I remove lots of labels when I repurpose items. I even used it once to remove decades-old machine oil from a sewing machine. Of course I was careful not to let it get into any parts that couldn’t be wiped clean. Since the main thing I use it for is removing labels and gunk, I can’t speak to its effectiveness as a regular cleaner. It has a pleasant lemony scent and lasts me a long time.

Anytime I am cleaning with bleach, I add a small amount of CitraSolv to alleviate the bleachy smelll. It also works great on acrylic paint brushes. When I really need to tackle a tough job, I mix water, TSP, bleach and CitraSolv. Cleans everything and the CitraSolv leaves behind a pleasant smell. Hint: wear gloves

Love this stuff. I have used it for years. It is our all purpose cleaner around the house, just a dash of Citra Solv mixed with equal parts of white vinegar and H2O in a spray bottle. It will remove old oil stains from cottons even if they have been through the wash, the dryer and ironed. Just apply it straight and let it sit for a while before putting in the wash. It will dissolve some plastics so be careful. It will also dissolve that sticky residue left behind from adhesive price labels, duct tape and masking tape.

I love it & use it for everything--counters, tile floors, icky things, & really dirty laundry. It's not cheap, but it's never failed me.

This stuff will clean off the nastiest of gunk! Don’t use full strength! It’s also super economical!

Use this on my tile floors. it leaves them well cleaned and the house smells like a citrus grove. Yay!

UPDATE: Since writing this review, I have learned that Pine-sol works just as well, but is dramatically less expensive. (And no, it doesn't leave your sheets spelling like Pine-sol; the scent washes out.) I am a massage therapist in private practice. It is a challenge to get all of the oil out of the sheets, but this product does the job beautifully. I just add a bit in the bleach dispenser of my washer, and the sheets come out clean, never smelling like rancid oil. My main complaint is the price.

I like everything about this cleaner. It lasts ages, smells wonderful and spiders hate the smell! The grease cutting ability is phenomenal and used in the suggested dilutions, cleans virtually everything. No need for anything else.

It took along time to arrive because, I suppose, it came from America. I also felt it was rather expensive. I actually bought it for my art work - you can make beautiful collage papers by sprinkling it on pages of the National Geographical Magazine. It's a shame that you can't buy it in England and I don't think there is an equivalent over here. If there is I would appreciate knowing about it.
