OK, Especially for the price
These 1.5 year-old cells behave about the same as the 3.5 year old ones I have been using since 2024. They seem to hold charge and work OK--have not tested capacity. Noted that their Amazon Basics 4-bay charger is a poor indicator of full cell charge--it will charge 4 cells at 1.5 Watts per cell for about 15 minutes before shutting off, even after they have just been fully charged and re-inserted into the charger...

These seem like good batteries.
I am comparing these to Energizer rechargeable batteries. The seem to charge as fast but they seem to last about half as long. It can be hard to do a direct comparison as no two devices ever seem to be used in the same way, but I tried these in some LED lanterns on a camping trip. The lanterns were the same make and model and were both brand new. One lantern had brand new, fully charged Energizers in it and the other had these Amazon Basics, also brand new and fully charged. (Both sets of batteries were charged on the same charger). I put the lanterns on a table and they ran continuously until the next day. The lantern with the Amazon Basics batteries shut off after about 16 hours whereas the Energizer batteries kept that lantern going for 28 hours. For the price, I think that these feel like a good value. Energizer is exceptionally proud of their products and charge accordingly. Yes, they may be better, but I don't think that they are the best value. It may turn out that the overal lifecycle of the Energizers is much better than the Amazon Basics, but the short-term results say that the Amazon Basics are perfectly acceptable. The green color is nice tool Other companies use green to indicate that their batteries are rechargable, so good on Amazon for leaning into that.

Solid Battery for the Price
Amazon Basics AA Rechargeable Batteries (2400 mAh) – Real Capacity Test Results I ran a full analysis cycle on 8 cells using an ISDT N8-series smart charger at a 0.5A charge/discharge rate. Unfortunately 4 of the 12 cells were accidentally thrown out with the broken toy they were in so I couldn’t test those. Here are the actual measured results after initial break-in and a few months of normal use in kids toys and various gadgets: Capacity Results (mAh): - 3001 - 2687 - 3001 - 2658 - 2639 - 2625 - 2649 - 2698 Average Capacity: 2700 mAh Rated Capacity: 2400 mAh Internal Resistance (mΩ): - Range: 124 mΩ – 200 mΩ Key Takeaways: • All 8 cells tested at or above their rated 2400 mAh capacity • Two cells measured around 3000 mAh, which is significantly above spec (likely inflated slightly by the lower 0.5A test rate, but still impressive) • Most cells clustered tightly between 2625–2700 mAh, showing good consistency • Internal resistance varied from 124–200 mΩ, which is decent but not premium-tier low What this means for real-world use: These are solid mid-to-high performance NiMH cells: - Great for moderate to high-drain devices (controllers, cameras, etc.) - Not quite as consistent as premium Japanese made brands, but very close considering the price - One higher-resistance cell (~200 mΩ) may perform slightly worse under heavy load and prematurely wear out. Lower resistance means less voltage sag under heavy load. Pros: - Exceeds rated capacity across the board - Good consistency between most cells - Good value for the price Cons: - Internal resistance spread is noticeable - Not all cells are perfectly matched for High-drain use Final Verdict: 4.5 / 5 (Rated five stars because you can’t give a half star rating, close enough however): For the price, these perform above expectations. If you’re willing to match cells based on performance (capacity + internal resistance), you can get excellent results comparable to more expensive brands. Testing Note: Results were obtained using a 0.5A analysis cycle, which can slightly inflate capacity readings compared to higher-drain real-world use. Not an appreciable difference however in actual usage. Testing Equipment - ISDT N8 Series Smart Charger Please note: Don’t be disappointed if brand new cells don’t meet their rated capacity out of the box. NimH rechargeable batteries have a break-in period when new. This is usually 3-5 full charge/discharge cycles (for premium Japanese-made cells around 2 charge/discharge cycles). A good smart charger can do this for you. It can take several hours or they will break-in themselves over time with normal usage but their performance will increase after break-in.

Great way to shrink your battery budget.
I have a couple trash cans with automatic lids in the house that use multiple AA batteries, so I decided it was high-time to get some rechargeable batteries for those devices. These work just fine but there are 2 issues that are important to note: 1) they are slightly larger in diameter than a typical AA battery, so they can be a bear to install and remove from some devices. Also, the larger diameter can make them hang-up and not move smoothly in the battery compartment causing them not to contact the electrical connections, so you have to push them around to get continuity. 2) they don't have the lifespan of an Alkaline battery. In my bathroom trash can, for instance, alkalines last about 90 days. These batteries can barely make it 30 days before they need a charge. However, I've run the batteries through about 6 months of use and they keep recharging happily, so the value has already been established at the trade-off of battery life. In all, I am happy with them. i can certainly live with the shorter life, but would prefer them to be the same size as all other AA batteries.

Extremely consistent performance, holds more charge than advertised, great value
I recently purchased EBL's 2500 AA NiMH batteries (ASIN B08XP7ZC8K) because they were less expensive, advertised 2500mAh capacity, and were 30% less expensive (as of May 2024), and I liked the colors. Since it seemed a little too good to be true, I decided to thoroughly test and compare the brands. The data is worth sharing. Testing Methodology: All tests were performed with an ISDT N16 charger. It is an intelligent charger. Two rounds of testing were performed at three charge rates: 0.5A, 1.0A, 1.5A. The NiMH charging strategy starts with a lower voltage and increases the voltage over time and considers temperature as it charges, up to the set charge rate. "Activation Charge" for NiMH cells was enabled, which drains the battery first, then performs a full charge. This should result in a consistent charge pattern (no partial charges) and level the playing field as discharging was uniform. The charted results omit the single worst charge, while the table includes all results. The batteries have not been used in anything other than the ISDT N16 charger. Results: * All cells charged to roughly 2574mAh on average, at all charge rates * The product exceeds advertised 2400mAh capacity by 174mAh, on average, at all charge rates. * At a 1.5A charge rate, the charge variation between the least & most charged cells was the greatest * At a 0.5A charge rate, the variation was the lowest Comparing this to EBL's offering, Amazon's 2400mAh battery had a tendency to exceed the stated design capacity, which I've observed as between 2562-2580mAh on average and as high as 2848mAh. This, from the same charger, at the same charge rates, and with the "activation" option enabled. Cost comparison (as of May 2024) highlights some interesting data: * AZ 2400 12-pk @ $21.79 - $1.82/cell - @2574mAh realized capacity = 0.07 cents per 100mAh * EBL 2500 12-pk - $15.28 - $1.27/cell - @2100mAh realized capacity = 0.06 cents per 100mAh * Capacity as deciding factor: Amazon "wins" as they hold 18% more charge, but initial purchase cost is 30% more than EBL. When considering cost per cell's capacity, the difference is negligible and both brands stand on equal footing. Amazon's brand charges more consistently, holds more charge/out-performs their stated specification, and has more consistent voltage at rest. * Cost as deciding factor: EBL "wins" on price as the initial purchase cost is less expensive than Amazon by 30%. However, EBL's cells hold 18% less charge than Amazon and fall short of charging to EBL's stated capacity by 16%. If EBL's cells charged more consistently and could be fully charged to capacity, they would easily represent the better overall value. * Charging: EBLs perform better at a higher 1.5A charge rate and also charge more quickly. Amazon's batteries perform better at a 0.5A charge rate which takes longer. However, Amazon's variability at 1.5A charging (360mAh variance) is only *slightly* worse than the best EBL 1.5A result (324mAh variance). EBL's variance at 0.5A charge rate is 644mAh, which is 2.25x worse than Amazon at 287mAh variance. Amazon's product performance is consistently consistent.

Good value but less Milli-amps
I’ve bought these for yers in all sizes and like them. They’ll last quite a while as in many years. But if you look at the amount of energy they store in milliamps, it is less than some namebrand ones, but sometimes more than the offbrand Chinese ones. So if you need more storage capacity, go to the name brands, but these are much more reliable value than any offbrand.

Great value rechargeable AAs — high capacity, low self-discharge
Rechargeable batteries are a must in our household with 5 kids. We go through AAs quickly between remotes, toys, flashlights, game controllers, and more. Switching to rechargeables has saved a lot of money over time, and these Amazon Basics 2400 mAh NiMH batteries have been a solid choice. The 16-pack is a great value, and the 2400 mAh capacity is above average for NiMH AA batteries. Low self-discharge is an important feature — they hold their charge well when sitting in storage or in devices that aren't used daily. No memory effect issues either. I've been using these alongside a compatible charger and they've cycled through many charges without noticeable degradation. Great value for anyone looking to reduce battery waste and save money in the long run.

Long lasting power
These aa batteries are a great addition to my household. We go thru tons of batteries from using controllers and misc devices. I bought these because they are rechargeable. I have been using the amazon basics brand batteries for a few years now. All sizes and they have not let me down. They last as long as expected and dont lose the long lasting power even after tons of recharges. The amazon basics multi charger is a great addition to these batteries and it saves lots of money both at its price point and the fact I dont need to buy batteries every week! Thanks amazon!!

Battery seems okay
The battery seems okay, but the size for this AA battery, not sure had it got 1mm extra bulk, it seems to not fit normal UM-3 slot. I had to massage it in. Will see.

Buena compra en general, las utilicé para el control de la consola, con el paso de los meses retienen menos carga, digamos que fue medio año, en general si las volvería a comprar pero hay que tener en cuenta reemplazarlas en algún momento

..., deutlich besser als die meisten, die ein gutes Stück teuerer sind. Eines vorneweg - bei den "Sternchen", die man da setzen sollte, steht ua. auch "Fernbedienung" - ich rate euch dringend, von der Verwendung dieser Akkus ( oder Akkus im Allgemeinen ) in Ferbedienungen, Wetterstationen, Wanduhren und/oder Solarlampen ab. Warum ??? - die werden da drin, schlicht und ergreifend vergessen - und gerade diese Gerätchen, haben keinerlei Akkuüberwachung - wenn da der Akku alle ist, merkt man erst, wenn der "Kram" nicht mehr funktioniert - dann ist es allerdings viel zu spät, für den betreffenden Akku ------ der ist in der Tiefstentladung - und wird sich, mit an Sicherheit grenzender Wahrscheinlichkeit, nicht mehr aufladen lassen - der betreffende Akku ist nur noch zum Entsorgen gut. Ansonsten - Die stehen in den Telefonhörern DEUTLICH!!!!!! besser/länger, als die eigentlich dafür entwickelten DECT-Akkus. Ich hab die, als 850mA-AAA ( gleicher Akku - Amazon Basics ) in einem Uralt-Sinus mit vier Hörern, von der Telekom drin - schon eine gute Zeit länger, als die teuer bezahlten DECT-Akkus, von einem bekannten Markenhersteller mit Pa... am Anfang - sogar die ENEL... von denen, die normalerweise, nie länger als ein Jahr "mitgemacht" hatten. Ich kann nur eines sagen - diese Akkus hier sind, auch fürs Telefon, absolut empfehlenswert - und natürlich auch deutlich günstiger, als die "Markenakkus", die nichts taugten. Eines ist sicher - wenn die hier anfangen "den Geist aufzugeben" - sofort die Gleichen wieder - gerade fürs Telefon - die Besten, die ich nach den Originalen, jemals hatte. Muss noch was anhängen, die Rezension mit diesen "Kurvenbildern" betreffend. Der Kunde unterliegt einem Denkfehler, was die Entladung dieser Akkus betrifft - auf den Bilder ist deutlich erkennbar, daß der Entladestrom 2A/2000mA ist - das ist für solche Akkus eindeutig zu hoch, sogar viel zu hoch. Alle Fachbücher sagen - der Ladestrom für Standart NMH/NC-Akkus soll 1.C nicht übersteigen - bedeutet 1/10tel seiner Kpazität als Ladestrom über 10 Stunden - bei jedem 10ten Ladezyklus, wird über 14 Stunden nachgeladen ------------- diese Fachbücher sagen aber auch, der maximale Entladestrom eines Standart Nickel-Akkus soll 2.C, also 2/10tel, nicht übersteigen - und diese hier sind Standart - bedeutet bei einem 2400mA-Akku, nicht mehr als 480mA - der Akku wirds dir nicht danken. Es gibt sog. Hochstromakkus - die sind entladbar bis max. 4.C - wären dann max. 960mA - keinesfalls 2000. Mein ALC8500-Ladegerät, daß auch so schöne Kurven "malt", stelle ich tatsächlich auf die vorgegebenen Werte beim Refreshen ein - und ich hab CONRAD-Hausmarkeakkus, 500mA, die sind gut und gerne 15-20 Jahre alt - die tuns immer noch - und nicht mal schlecht. Lieber Kunde - stell deinen Entladestrom runter - dann hast du länger Freude an deinen Akkus - oder - schau mal in die Bücher - hilft oft. Noch was liebe Leute - JEDER, aber auch tatsächlich JEDER!!!!!!! neue Akku, muss vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme nachgeladen werden - schlicht und ergreifend deshalb - kein Verkäufer kann euch sagen, wie lange der Akku im Regal gelegen hat, bevor er zum Kunden geht - und da ALLE !!! Akkus, mehr oder weniger, einer sog. Selbstentladungsrate unterliegen, kann niemand sagen, wie hoch die tatsächliche Kapazität des Akkus ist - ihr werdet euch, auch einen neuen Akku, ohne Nachladung, garantiert ruinieren - das gleich gillt natürlich/selbstverständlich auch für Geräte mit fest verbautem Akku - aus vorgenannten Gründen ) - und - vorgeladen, wie bei manchen Akkus beschrieben, bedeutet nicht, daß der vollgeladen bei euch ankommt, sondern lediglich, daß der Akku schon einmal geladen war, um seine Funktionsfähigkeit zu testen. Kurz was zum Thema Solarlampen - klar/selbstverständlich sind in Solarlampen Akkus drin, meist sogar Nickel-Akkus ( NC, NMH ) - aber - die haben Kapazitäten nur etwa 400 bis 600mA - einen 2400mA-Akku schafft die kleine Solarzelle nie im Leben, über den Tag vollzuladen - folglich wird immer, Abends, ein teilgeladener Akku in Betrieb genommen - das macht einer von denen hier, wenns gut geht 14Tage bis drei Wochen mit - dann ist Ende - "echte" Solarzellenakkus haben auch einen anderen inneren Aufbau, ähnlich einem DECT-Akku - die "verkraften" Teil-/Tiefentladungen deutlich besser, als zb. die hier - und - in einem Akkupack ( Reihen-/Parallelschaltung ), niemals nur einen einzelnen Akku wechseln - die Alten ziehen den Neuen, wegen des sog. Ladungsausgleichs immer leer - da macht ein Neuer es auch nicht sehr lange ---- wenn, immer alle Akkus wechseln - ist sehr wichtig !!!!!! ...und noch einen Tip - kommt bitte nur nicht auf die Idee, in einem "schnurlosen" Hörer, einfach viel "dickere/grössere" Akkus, als die Originalen reinzutun, nur weil man dann vermeintlich, ja auch länger Telefonieren kann/könnte - die Ladeschalen, für diese "Schnurlosen", sind nur für diese Originalgrösse berechnet - einen "Dicken" schaffen die nicht komplett zu Laden ( die liefern den nötigen Ladestrom einfach nicht - evtl. nach einigen Tagen, dann aber, ohne Telefonat/zu Telefonieren ) ---- 50mA sind da nicht so schlimm - aber, einen zb. 850mA-Akku, gegen einen 2400mA-Akku auszutauschen, wird nur kurzzeitig funktionieren - dann werft ihr diesen 2400mA-Akku auch weg - da seeeeeeeeehr tiefe Tiefentladung - Akku "ermordet" - der tuts nicht einmal mehr, in zb. einer Wanduhr ;-).

Exceeds expectations
Bought these for a video game my son has, they work well and last decently long, not as long as top brand lithium non rechargeable batteries but at least we can recharge these . They are made from NIMH, imo its an outdated technology, should have lithium ion batteries but i guess the price would be higher. I recommend.
