Carson MiniBrite LED Lighted Slide-Out Aspheric Magnifier with Protective Sleeve (PO-55), 5X, Gray

I am a judge for USA Archery, and these little guys are great for my needs. I have one on me at every competition I judge at, and generally have to use it at each one - looking closely at targets and arrows. I've been using them for over a year now, and they get used pretty hard. I can speak to the durability as the ones I have still look new despite the heavy use. On top of that, they are nice and small, weighing almost nothing, so carrying one with me at an all-day competition isn't a problem at all. If I could say anything negative at all it would be about the light - in my opinion it's not that bright. I do carry a small flashlight with me to use in conjunction with this magnifier, but I would say that maybe my use case is a bit more unique than the average, so for most the built-in light is going to be sufficient. In all, I don't think you can beat the quality of this magnifier for the price. It's compact and lightweight and the magnifying glass itself is crisp and clear.

Exactly what I was looking for. It's small the magnifying glass tucks away so it won't get scratched and even with some used batteries the light is good and bright.

I carry this in my pocket everywhere I go. I don't understand why everything is in such small print - even when the lawyers aren't involved. If they want you to read something, you would think they would print in a legible type size. BUT NO! This is the solution. I pull this out at least once a week as I have for at least a year to read something from a shelf while shopping. You can't trust anyone to shelve the right product with the right pricing shelf tag anymore - too much work I guess. And those sneaky ingredient lists and warnings OMG! The little light is handy too for this purpose, and the sliding cover protects the lens and turns the light off. It's a fine little tool. I give it only four stars because I have had to add a little strap to keep the cover closed when not in use. You don't want it to slide open and turn on the light in your pocket - and drain the battery doing no good. They could have done some stop element to keep it closed until you want it to open and turned on. I even have a little pouch to carry it, because yes - I am that type of person - but you want to put a rubber band or hair band around it to keep it closed. Other than that - it works well as a magnifier for the fine print or small feature you are looking for. I like it - and even more so - I use it all the time. I have other typical portable magnifiers but this is the one that lives in my pocket even if it's bigger - maybe it's the light that has earned its place. You could also use it when removing a splinter and the light would be helpful then. If you need one - consider this little unit.

Works great! Light is bright, and the 5x glass magnifies small text on medicine bottles perfectly. Hold unit horizontally to read stuff. Uses 3 small AAA batteries. (Bob Cook)

This an excellent go to for quick examination of small items, print, or damage. The light provides ample illumination for viewing within the magnified area. It is deceptively durable, feeling cheap at first; however, if responsibly handled will last. This purchase replaced mine of the same maker & design that I had for more than 10 years! (The light stopped working after it fell in water & was not properly dried. However, the magnifying glass was still functional!)

MiniBrite LED Lighted Slide-Out Aspheric Magnifier with Protective Sleeve. Excellent quality. I gave one to my friend as well, and we went out immediately to test them out in a low lit restaurant. The LED Magnifier is perfect for reading the menu. Very little distortion at close range. Then we amused the wait staff by inspecting the sparkle and detail on each other's wedding rings in the halogen lighting. Girls will be girls. The crystal clear acrylic in the Magnifier is very thick and light, but with the weight added by three AAA batteries, I really notice a difference when carrying the item in my purse. Perfect stocking stuffer gift.

petit, facile à transporter, peu fragile, mais la led mèriterait d'être à peine plus puissante! Le grossissement est pour mes utilisations qui est d'observer des insectes et des fleurs est suffisantes, j'utilise des lunettes de 1.5 X car je suis presbyte et c'est parfait pour la mise au point! Je recommande ce produit!
