Simply screw the pretty piece, that has a little shaved away making it slightly flat in that part. The black pieces are used as extensions for those long reaches. You will love it. I also put a tiny bit of coconut il on the threads. It is machined so perfectly that if the threads get dry, it can be very difficult to separate the parts. Enjoy this fantastic cue.
