Connect 4 Grab and Go Game (‎Original Version)

Excellent value for the money! The chips are easy to store, making them suitable for little hands. They are made of durable plastic, making them fun to play with for young children. Cleaning is a breeze; just wash them under the sink. They are also easy to use and portable.

This travel version has a couple features that improve the original game. The chips are held in cylinders on the sides and you can pull the chips easily from the bottoms. This makes it less likely to lose chips (or just have a pile of chips). There is a bottom to catch the chips when you release the board. Again, this makes it less likely to lose chips and easier to clean up the game.

Our son was first introduced to connect 4 while working with his most recent speech therapist, who was a gentle, lovely, patient person that we're definitely going to miss seeing every week, and I'm probably going to think of her every single time I look at this thing. I bought this to continue working on turn taking with our son, which was an area she was targeting as well, and to progress some of his fine motor targets (I purchased this knowing the chips would be smaller then the traditional connect 4). At this time, developmentally, he couldn't possibly care less about the actual game component of it, so when we play with it at this time we're just taking turns putting in the chips.So, the chips are roughly half an inch in diameter. So they're small...and he blew me away that he had no problem putting them in first time out. So I was thinking...well, maybe we aren't going to need this for anything fine motor after all. Until we got to the part where I loaded them up in the chip holders/dispensers. Getting them out of there is definitely a fine motor challenge for him, to the point where he was actually shaking his head no at me every time I asked him to try and pull one out.While we're on the topic of the chip holder, I'd like to direct your attention to the picture I took of it. My one and only criticism of this product is that there isn't anything to make sure the chips don't slip out of it. I think this product would be improved greatly if it had a sliding cover for that end of it. Because structurally, storing this product upside down would put more stress that could lead to breakage along the top portion of the game, and that's the only way to decrease the risk of chips falling out. Keeping it in the box takes up more space, and they can still slide out as it slips around the box. And let's assume you're purchasing this for travel, you probably don't want to take the box because it more then doubles how much space this will take up in your luggage, etc. So that's just something to be aware of. Otherwise, as other reviewers have noted, this is definitely much smaller then the regular game, which I love, totally love because that's exactly what I needed it to be, and all of the components work at this time.

This Connect 4 game is a blast and keeps the kids entertained for hours. While not the most travel-friendly, it's an ideal gift for home play. Quick tip: always start with the middle slot for a strategic edge.

My son loves this! Perfect for travel, taking up little space. Only wish it had something to really “lock” the red/yellow chips in place when it’s being stored. They fall out of the little silos so you have to keep it in a ziplock bag or something similar. But we’ve taken this to the park, beach, etc., and it has provided a lot of value/entertainment!

It's connect 4, and plays like any other four across. While cheap, compact and portable, the build quality is flimsy. Storage for the game pieces allows them to slip out and get lost easily. I had to store it in a gallon size zipper bag in order to retain all of the parts and pieces this thing sheds.

I took this game on the plane and it was great! The size is perfect. It is not too small or too big. As soon as I took this game out of my backpack, the kids put their phones away and wanted to play right away. We had a competition to see who could get to 10 wins. The time on the plane passed quickly and no pieces were lost. It is very durable and quality made. I did put the game in a gallon size plastic ziploc bag to ensure that I would not loose any pieces but there are storage slots on the sides of the game for the little pieces.

So, I thought I would be so clever and store the little discs in a zip-lock bag in the original box. But then I discovered that all the discs fit right into the game itself and then the game folds up tight so that everything is secure. I just love it. We take it to the pool, beach, and car. It folds to approximately 5" x 7" x 2". I do recommend this product.

Product arrived in a broken and torn box. It was a gift so I will now have to replace it as it isn't fit to be given to a child.

Value for the money . Will recommend this to all . Good product to your Kid
