FS3X Three-Function Foot Switch

Although this footswitch works with other Digitech products as well, my experience is using it with the "Digitech JMSXT Jamman Solo XT Stereo Compact Pedal." It's very helpful with the Jamman. It permits stopping a single or multiple Jamman units with a single press. Another helpful feature is letting you playback multiple loops in succession. Record a portion of a song in one memory, and another in a second memory. Then as you play along, press the up or down to get to the memory that the next portion of the song is in. It will cue it and then start playback at the appropriate time. Wonderful for practicing vocals or doing some lead guitar. A couple more features it allows. By tapping on the mode switch, a tempo is set for the recording. And if things go wrong, as long as you have not yet saved the loop, just press and hold the Mode switch, and the loop (or overdub) will disappear. It'll be ready for you to give it another try. If you have a Jamman Solo XT, you'll probably find this a pretty inexpensive way to get a bunch of bonus functionality out of it. Hope you found this helpful! I use this pedal with my TC Helicon Perform VK vocal harmonizer. Very easy set up and allows me to change the harmony preset and turn the harmonies on and off using my foot instead of my hand. Very handy for live performance! Update - having used this for a few months I’ve noticed my keyboard sometimes changes the vocal harmonizer setting when I use the foot switch. In other words when I have all the midi from my keyboard hooked up as well as this foot switch, sometimes the foot switch changes settings on the harmonizer that weren’t suppose to change. A little frustrating at times but not a deal breaker for me.

None of the previous reviews were clear on if this three button pedal works with the TC electronics line of combo amps. The TC electronics version is 3x the price of this unit, but this unit functions perfectly. All three buttons work - one for mute, one for toneprint effects channel 1, and the third for toneprint effects channel 2. No need to hesitate if you are looking for a pedal to work with your TC electronics BG-XXX combo amp. Metal construction with nice crisp button clicks. Only complaint is that the buttons are fairly close together, so you cannot stomp on this imprecisely - you may risk accidentally muting yourself or turning on too many effects.

I purchased this foot switch to be used along with my DOD Rubberneck Analog Delay. When using this foot switch with the delay, one is able o control the Rubberneck feature, turn modulation on/off, tap tempo in, and controls secondary feedback regeneration control for oscillation. The foot switch turned out to be a bit smaller than I had imagined it would be, however this does not affect its usefulness at all. The switches are spaced well and do not feel cramped. The switches are momentary soft switches and have functioned perfectly since I've received it. The enclosure itself is a bit shorter in height than most pedals, and the slant on the enclosure makes accessing the switches easy. The pedal also is shipped with 4 rubber feet that are not installed, which I like because I usually remove feet to install velcro anyway. Plus, if you want to install the feet, they literally stick right on. A economy style molded TRS cable is included to ensure you can use the switch out of the box with your compatible pedal of choice. If you have one of the DOD/Digitech pedals that makes use of this foot switch, I'd highly suggest picking it up to expand your pedal's capabilities!

For me and my footsies, this pedal is darn near perfecto in dimensions - distance between switches, height above deck, "closeness to the edge" of the L and R outboard switches. Seems strong build quality although I haven't checked under the hood. Deck angle is good for me, operating while seated. Some pedals have a deck angle that's too steep. I prefer them flat or nearly flat. This one is nearly flat, not as flat as the larger overall Boss modules. If they wanted to make this pedal (or any pedal) a six star design - put more than one jack on the thing. It needs a 1/4" TRS cable, how about give the end user the option of plugging that in at the top or the L or R side of the pedal. Simplify the interconnect cable routing and pedal spacing options. A 1/4" plug anywhere consumes about 3/4" under the absolute best circumstances (small right angle plug). If you could move that plug-in to a different side of the "box" you could mount your pedal 3/4" closer to whatever. I'm convinced I don't sound like Jimeddiewes Hendranhalentgomery because my looper control pedal isn't 3/4" closer to my "Distortion from the tomb of the mutilated" OD pedal.

This is the perfect pedal for the groove loop and the drummer x2 from Moore. Let’s you switch up and down in the banks and tap tempo. Or start and stop a loop and tempo as well on the groove loop. If you need a pedal for those Moore series this is the one.

I use my DigiTech JamMan looper a little differently than most people. I do folk music, accompanying my vocals on guitar. But I also play the Native style wooden flute. So I prerecord sections of a song that I want to solo with the flute onto separate loops, typically 1, 2, or 3 per song. Then I play the guitar up to the point I want to play the flute and kick in a loop. When the loop ends I'm back on the guitar. With any more than 1 loop in a song, I have to switch loops on the fly. That would be impossible if not for this foot switch. When the first loop is finished, sometime before the next one is due, all I have to do is tap the "UP" switch and I'm ready when I get there. Same thing again if there are more flute sections in the song. This switch works perfectly = no switch-bounce or other undesirable side effects noticed. I couldn't perform solo without it, it's my second accompanying guitar.

Good build and works well with Trio band in the box for switching in between phrases. The box is metal and is solid quality. I am sure the inside is a simple wire configuration, but this just works and is well made so was worth the cost to purchase. Comes with a cable to connect to your device.
