KLOS Black Carbon Fiber Acoustic Tenor Ukulele Kit with Gig Bag, Rain Cover, Strap, and more

I have wanted a KLOS Ukulele after seeing Ukulele Gent use a KLOS on his weekly Facebook gathering. I had to leave behind my ukuleles in a recent move and decided to take the plunge and order a KLOS. Love the sound, the design, the case and strap that comes as a part of the package from Amazon. (Note: The picture shows a brown and black Uke, but the one I received was all black and I like that better!) I wanted one of these for awhile, and finally pulled the trigger after seeing two reviews on youtube. I live in super dry Colorado, and am just tired of messing with humidifiers for the solid wood ukulele. I was nervous, because you never know until you hear it in person. This ukulele is amazing, and louder than my solid wood Kala. It has a very easy action and is clear as a bell all the way to the 15th fret. I find it remarkable. The tone is a little cooler than wood, which I expected, but it isn't muffled or muted at all. There is nothing muddy in the sound of this instrument. I am taking it to the luthier's tomorrow to get flurocarbon strings put on it (kind of nervous to do it myself as it seems a bit mysterious. It is taking a little to get use to the small head and tightening the strings, but I think I will adjust quickly as I have small hands. I'm just pleased. I am actually think about getting my twin sister one so we can be twin-sames :) 10/10 would buy it again.

I have soprano and concert ukuleles. Wanted to get a non-wood uke to take camping/backpacking. I was worried the tenor would be too big, but I think it's barely bigger than my concert uke, so it will be just fine. It came with a nice carrying case AND rain cover (awesome!), so I plan on strapping it to the rear of my pack. It sounds great and seems louder than my wood ukes, in a good way. Love the nylon strings. Going to replace the G for a low G (just my preference). So happy with this purchase! I honestly can't think of anything negative to say about it!! <3

The ukulele came well packed and on time. I had a question and called the company and they were very helpful. I like that I can leave this uke in my trunk and not have to worry about the weather conditions. What a relief!

I had high expectations as this feels like an investment-my expectations were exceeded! This ukulele is beautiful, balanced, easy to play and good sound. The case is perfect and comes w/a rain guard. If you are considering a Klos-jump in-this is an instrument that is easy to love.

After a lot of research and consideration I decided to order an acoustic uke from Klos directly. I was on the fence over wether to order from their b-stock (cosmetically imperfect & discounted) or buy a ‘perfect’ uke for a higher price. Knowing that such an imperfection would bug me in the long run, I opted for the regular ‘perfect’ stock. I was disappointed to find a few problem spots on the fret board and body, the most concerning of which are pictured. There is a dry spot in the resin where the carbon fiber is exposed, which I worry will allow for the introduction of water/moisture and lead to structural/longevity issues. Upon reaching out to the company I was informed that this falls within the range of acceptable, and were it a bigger spot it would be b-stock. The sound is in line with my $160 Enya tenor (which I love), and I feel the quality is below my Lava U. I really wanted to love this uke, but I can’t help but feel like I am being sold an imperfect product at full price. For the price and reputation I was expecting extremely high standards of quality, and on this count I was let down. Will most likely return and save toward something better. (I posted basically this same review to the KLOS website, but it hasn’t appeared yet. You can find plenty of 5 star reviews though... strange.)

Great feel and quality of sound. This ukulele is durable and sweet sounding. I love it.

The ukulele looks gorgeous, I was attracted by this product at the first sight, and after wastching a few reviewing vids, I decided to get one for myself. The sound is loud and precise, and the KLOS stuffs are willing to help customers, good experience!
