Better than expected
It runs great for games, and I can run my drafting/design programs on it no problem. It takes awhile to boot up and load, bit once it does it is smooth as silk. I mean it takes to the count of ten for most things but for the price it is very good. Best part, the graphics are freakin' amazing!

Laptop works great
Pleasantly surprised by this laptop. I was nervous to order such an older laptop off amazon but it came exactly as described and works great, although the battery has a short life and I usually play with it plugged in but that is expected. The disk drive wasn't working at first and the seller sent a new one right away and I am able to play all my old games. Very happy with this purchase!

obviously old, but fully functional
I bought the Dell latitude notebook in large part rto try to resue my Wijndows 7 desktop which was somehow destroyed a few days after Microsoft discontinued support. I rebooted it to clear the memory and the drive kept sponning, I ultimately turned it off because it felt like a prior windows 10 forced upgrad which had taken me 23 hours to recover from and I tried to prevent it. I thought I had a corrupted operating system. My son (who is a programming major at cal tech) says it was a virus. Unable to access help during the shut down, I bought this to make a windows 7 rescue disc. It did that wqell enough, but it did not save my desktop. I haven't used this machijne very much as it is one of several in my household. It is, essentially, a back-up machine. However I would say that it is an exceptionally good deal, costing less htan a good quality tablet and it gets you a functional machine running window 7 (the last good ms OS, ijn my opinion.) If is not very fast, but does work well enough. It is a good deal heavier than a laptop of this size would be if you bought a current model, but it does work. If you are looking at this to have a machine to take notes on, it would be excellent for that purpose, as long as you are OK with the weight. Given what happened to my desktop I would recommend a good virus checker (I like Kaspersy) if you are going to go online with it. I bought the deck which is available here because our limited experiejnce with Dell machines has not been good, and this being an oldert machine, I would be concerned about the life of the battery. My daughter's first laptop was a Dell and I remember her sitting with long extension cords snaking across the floor because the battery did not last, even on a brand new machine. That was the last piece of Dell equipment anyone in our household bought until this year. It is tough to argue with a fully functional windows machine for around $100, and at the price I paid here I believe it was a very good deal. It arrived quickly, in very good shape, exactly as described. Everything is in order. It is, in fact, an I5. All the specs check out and it works just fine. I have no complaint with Amazon, the marketplace seller who I purchased it from. It really was an exceptional deal and is a very usable little machine. I would even call it lightly used. There are no scratches on the screen, or even the body. My only issues are mentioned above; that is, it is not as fast as current generations and is quite a bit heavier. Those are not complaints. It is an older machine and is not up to the specs of new machines, and that is to be expected for a fraction the price. For students who are now home with their campus having gone remote, you can use this to stream, to use interactive remote programs like skype or zoom. It is all set up, has a decent camera and mic, good wifi. In fact, given what I have heard about security vulnerabilities in zoom, I may just turn this into the household zoom machine, since it is new and has no sensitive information on it, The point being that it is good enough to do just about anything you might do on a newer machine. It is just a bit slower.

It was delivered just as the ad said it would be
Everything still works at the time of this review. It was delivered faster than expected. The battery life was longer than expected for an old laptop. I ordered a new battery at the same time expecting the existing battery to not hold much of a charge. So now I have two that work. It was a great buy. It was cheaper than anything near me on Marketplace that had Windows 7. I would do business with this retailer again.

Nice Laptop but...
I have several refurbished laptops. Most arrive in good condition. For the price they are a good deal. However, read the description carefully and ask questions. You may not get what you expected. If you need a specific Windows version or have a hardware preference get a confirmation they will set it up as you need. Some will not. Unless you enjoy the frustration of changing Windows versions or hardware yourself be careful. I just spent the evening changing the Windows version to what I thought I asked for. Chose a bad source on this one.

excellent laptop
For the price that we paid and the deal we got it is a great laptop. By selling a Dell 15 Inspiron and getting this we got a much better deal. The laptop is surely faster and came in great shape. I ordered another 4gb of Ram off Newegg and it made it even faster. Its built very sturdy and everything in it works.

Very Happy with purchase!
First of all, I didn't get exactly what I requested, I got better! Received an i7-3520M instead of an i5-3210M, nice upgrade! Has both HDMI and VGA outputs, 3 USB ports, Ethernet, Audio, SD Card reader, and DVDRW drive. Other than that, there is normal wear on the device, a small chip on the screen that at first I thought was a smudge mark, but for $100 and an i7, I can live with that. Windows 7 is activated and I'm now upgrading it to Windows 10. Overall I consider this a great value.
