We remodeled and when we got new furniture, the cords for things like our computer keyboard and printer were not nearly long enough to thread through where they needed to go. This cord is very sturdy, the connections are tight, and it is a great length for extending your cables. We've been pleased with the functionality and with the price for a nice quality cord.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do, nothing fancy. Extends a USB cable when your port is hard to reach — behind a desk, tight console, back of a PC tower, whatever. Build feels solid enough, connector fits snug, no weird wobble. Transfer speeds and charging are fine for basic USB 2.0 stuff (mouse, keyboard, flash drive, printer) but obviously not built for fast data transfer or high-power charging. Cable itself is a bit stiffer than premium cables, doesn't coil super neatly. Overall: cheap, reliable, does the job. Not exciting, but you don't need a USB extension cable to be exciting.

Purchased to use exclusively as an extension to a DC power adaptor for a low draw charger. It feels like so many devices these days come with a USB charging cable and often it's not long enough to reach my socket. The cable that came with this particular charger is USB A on one end and a barrel connecter on the other, and it is woefully short. Given the 6.5ft length of this black USB extension cable from Amazon Basics I was concerned about voltage drop but at the rate this charger pulls it's fine, at worst it'll take slightly longer. If you purchase this for its intended use - extending out a connection to a printer or other similar peripheral you should be golden (literally, the gold plated connections on this cable are more durable). This cable is rated for 500mAH or 1A, and it stays well under the 16ft "limit" for a USB 2.0 run. That said, verify the device you're using is compatible with 2.0 and not 3.0 otherwise this cable will be a bottleneck.

Still own and use this cable ~7 years after originally purchasing! Works well and is useful for a variety of charging purposes. Originally bought to extend a ps4 controller charger but have used it for various things over the years
