Question 1

Can it be ordered with the lithium ion batteries? If so, what is the additional cost?

Accepted Answer

The Lithium batteries at this time are on back order & we don't know when they will be in stock. We estimate at least 2 months. You can only purchase the TZORA scooter with SLA batteries at this time.Thanks.

Question 2

How much does it weigh? How do you check onto a plane? 3 pieces?

Accepted Answer

It weighs 64 pounds total. It breaks down into 3 pieces as follows - the battery, the front tiller and wheel, the back assembly which folds down. In terms of air travel you just ride it up to the departure gate, then down the ramp to the plane and leave it at the end of the ramp. The big young strong men who load stuff into the cargo hold will then carry it down the stairs and put it into the body of the plane. When you arrive it will then be waiting for you usually at the end of the arrival ramp and you drive it up the ramp and down to the baggage area where you collect the rest of your belongings. Some airlines bring it to the baggage area instead. But if they do they will tell you at the arrival gate and wheelchair you down to pick it up. Bill Keene 954-421-3169 Boca Home Medical
