T-fal C81196 Elegance Stainless Steel Oven Safe Double Steamer Cookware, 3-Quart, Silver

The utility of this pot set is outstanding. It's weighted very well, the materials are quality, and I've found that with the steamer, I am using it constantly for all sorts of food preps. The pot itself is tapered, and pouring is nice with no mess. The clad bottom transfers and holds heat nicely. Glass top with a little vent! It even has graduated level markings on the inside! Only downside is that the lid handle can get hot if somethings cooking for a while, but that's what potholders are for :) I paid $21.80 for it, last month.

The product arrived on time and seems to be of good quality. I was pleased with the purchase. I would order again from this company. Thank you!

Be forewarned, the stainless steel option is NOT a double boiler. It is a steamer as pictured. These should either be under separate listings, or the stainless steel option should be labeled a steamer. I bought the stainless steel option thinking it would be a double boiler and sadly I must return it. Quality feels nice, just not what I thought I was ordering.

I just received this item today after buying it as a Lightning Deal. I was concerned that is was not a double boiler, but a steamer. My concerns are justified, as it is only a steamer (this is the $45 Stainless Steel modal). The top pot has holes for streaming, and looking around the box, I found nothing to add as an insert, in the hopes that is might be both. It appears that the stainless steel steamer and the non-stick double boiler have been combined, creating some of the confusion. Even worse, T-Fal does not even provide an item specific instruction manual, but merely a catch all pamphlet that briefly discusses caring for aluminum, steel and non-stick products. They do not even bother to list what the item is on the box, their. After this, I do not think I will give T-Fal another chance. It seems they took the minimal effort and the end result shows.

I bought a steamer but I like this better! I can steam the veggies and cook pasta or rice at the same time! I feel like a chef now!

This is not what I received. I ordered the stainless steel one but received a regular pot with straining lid. I did not receive the steaming basket like I expected. Only reason I didn't give it one star is because it is a nice pot but not what I ordered/expected.

Good steamer for veggies...good price. Not to be mistaken for highest quality cookware, but good for the price and does the job well. Would purchase again. The handles DO get too hot to touch...but the price for my use of it is good. I notice it because my other cookware has heat proof handles.

I love this pot! I have only used it a couple of times, but so far so good! It is very sturdy and the handle doesn't get too hot while in use.
