desertcart.com : Kirkland Pure Olive Oil-101.4 oz, 2 ct : Grocery & Gourmet Food Review: Great for cooking and price is better than competing websites. - We have been consuming Olive Oil for quite some time now. We know it is expensive than usual vegetable oil but I believe Olive oil is better for us, especially in our Indian diet which uses oil a lot. Initially we were told that olive oil should not really be used for cooking and is used for dressing salads and such things. But we figured out that for our purpose we should not use extra virgin but instead use a normal pure olive oil. Was always buying from walmart, great value brand but few people suggested costco one is also very good. In fact I read some article on top 5 olive oil brands and this Kirkland one was in the list. I don't has a costco membership so cannot buy from there. Glad I found this on desertcart. We are still on our first bottle and wife seems to be happy with the oil. We do not notice any taste difference in food vis-a-vis the great value olive oil. I will buy again from desertcart this olive oil, once the second bottle is opened. The price on walmart is unbeatable. Don't bother checking ebay as this same 2 pack is being sold for more than $55 there. I suggest go for it. Review: great price & quality - Great price. We use this for frying, ever since we found out that processed olive oil (not cold press) has one of the highest smoke points. Nearly tasteless, will not flavor fried food. I guess you could use it in recipes that call for oil, without the olive taste. We got three & worked our way through them. Olive oil is proven healthy since time immemorial. But canola & most of the rest, who knows?

Four Stars
Great quality for soap making in a pinch but will order else where because of price point.

Wrong labeling
We have used Kirkland olive oil in the past for soap making but this last shipment was extra virgin olive oil, even tho the Amazon/Kirkland said it was pure olive oil. Soap from this batch is unusable. We are requesting a refund for false information on this product.

Using EVOO for frying and baking is not a good choice and the lighter color and flavor of this ...
I recently switched to olive oil for all our cooking needs. Using EVOO for frying and baking is not a good choice and the lighter color and flavor of this is not notifiable in baked goods. Great value for the product.

Good olive oil, not virgin, so good and milder for baking.
Tastes good and gets solid in frig which olive oil does.

Cheap Wholesale Bulk Olive Oil
Not exactly the highest quality olive oil but it's so inexpensive. It's the kind of oil you want to use when cooking vegetables, eggs, or marinara and not use for salad dressing or any delicate oil based sauce.

Too big, too bad!
I had to put in a REAL review to counteract what are obviously a bunch of slanted reviews by Costco and Kirkland followers who do not know any better. I will admit I was one of you. I have a bottle of this same green oil in my house right now, and have used Kirkland olive oil for probably at least 30-40 years because yes, it's cheap. But my wife and I started doing research (her mostly) on eating more healthy and she read about what olive oil was supposed to taste lke, and folks, this is not it. Real, good tasting, quallity olive oil (which we are still looking for, at a good price) is supposed to have an almost butter-like taste, with no bitterness and no aftertaste. Olive oil also begiins to go bad (rancid) immediately upon opening the bottle, so unless you use great quantities of olive oil, the almost one gallon size mentioned here (101.4oz) is no bargain!
