Snap Source 161-01 Open Long-Prong Snaps Size 16 10/Pkg-White

Hard to find in stores. Longer prongs should be standard on snaos.

The picture is deceiving. I thought I was ordering the snap setting tool with a set of white snaps. I have snaps, but I had misplaced my snap setter. This is my go to product for snaps. Amazon was the only source I could find with expedited shipping. I do not fault The Snap Source, I fault Amazon. They are the ones who posted the incorrect picture on thzeir website. Now to see if they will make it right.

The Snap Source has a monopoly on this product, which works great and is easy to use. I was sorely disappointed, however, when my shipment did not arrive as advertised and I couldn't put snaps on items I had planned to take to a party. When I called Snap Source I nicely explained the problem and simply asked if I could have my shipping costs refunded to me. I was transferred to the OWNER of the company, Jeanine Twigg, who was incredibly rude and defensive. She told me, without listening much to my actual issue, that they "literally ship thousands of products with no problems from other customers." She also stated, "what I do have a problem with is customers calling back to ask for refunds on their shipping when they don't pay for rush shipping." The website had listed 3-day shipping, not specifying that you must select "rush," which is why I chose to order from them. If you absolutely must have this product, and admittedly, I like it, try to find it through another vendor and avoid patronizing a company who treats their paying customers in such a manner. Many of my friends have since asked about the snaps on my sewing crafts and I am quick to tell them where to NOT purchase!

Love the snaps...but the teeth could be a little more sharper so it goes thought the material easier.

The back of this package contains detailed instructions on how to use the snap setter tool. It consists of three plastic layers that you need to stick together with the fabric and the two snap halves caught in between. Then give the top layer 2-4 whacks with a hammer. Positioning the snap is a bit awkward and there's a risk it will move slightly while you try to hammer it in place. However, the snaps that come with this package are outstanding. I have tried other snap fastening tools before and they would not secure the pieces causing them to come loose. So far the snaps I have put in place with SnapSetter seem to be very reliable. EDIT: While the setting tool is fine, actually finding the snaps is difficult. After shipping you end up with something like $0.50 per snap.

Great for keeping arm chairs clean by attaching covers.

These are very easy to use and the metal is very shiny. I really like them.
