When does the calibration certificate expire?

The expiration is dependent on your quality system, frequency of use and care in handling, storage. I chose to use the calibration certificate and set a 2 year recalibration date. Other quality systems will require calibration prior to use and would not recognize the factory calibration. Having said that, the blocks will be EXTREMLY accurate if well maintained. Is there a certificate stating the deviation on each block?

No there is not; If you buy this item from Mitutoyo you can ask for one, but you will pay a lot more. It never mattered to me because we were going to have it calibrated every year. If you are going to calibrate micrometers, calipers, bigger than 3 inches, this is not the set for you.

Are these only used for micrometer calibration or can they be used for dial caliper calibration? Thank you.

Yes, you can calibrate both micrometers and calipers.

I don't care it is high quality from Mitutoyo. A great little set for a quality department that doesn't need a 80 piece set. It has served me well for over six years now.

Made in Japan. The minute you unbox this product you will realize that it is an upper-end quality item, and about 1/3 in cost of the US brand. You pay for quality once and junk you pay for constantly.

A great buy

It came with everything promised, including a traceable calibration certificate for each block in the set and the set was serialized. I have used bigger and more expensive sets but this one meets my needs and is a perfect set for a smaller company with fewer tools to calibrate, a great looking case was a plus.
