Why buy?
Power only means power ONLY. Unstable and virtually useless given that similarly priced two port chargers abound.

Slows charging even without a second device plugged in.
Physically, it works well. However I noticed that when this splitter was in-line (with nothing plugged into the second port) between my tablet and it's power supply the tablet charged 2-3 times as slowly. Removing the splitter returned the tablet to charging at it's normal rate.

Good quality construction however don't expect full output on both connections.

Double check to see if your device is actually charging.
I bought this so my wife and I could recharge our fitbits off of a spare USB port. It seems to make a poor/unstable connection. Double check to see if your device is charging. I came back after an hour to check my wife's fitbit and I had to wiggle the cable to start the charge.
