At first, I had high expectations for this company’s walnuts, but my initial order was honestly disappointing. They had an oily smell and didn’t taste very fresh, even though the expiration date hadn’t passed. I was ready to return them and leave a negative review. To my surprise, the seller responded quickly and handled the situation professionally, offering to send a replacement. I appreciated their attitude and decided to give it another try. When the new batch arrived, I tried it right away — and this time, the walnuts were truly fresh and tasted great, well beyond my expectations. It’s possible the first batch wasn’t handled properly, but what stood out to me was how sincerely the seller addressed the issue and corrected it. Based on their customer service and the improved quality, I’m comfortable giving them five stars. I definitely will buy it again.

*Update* - Look into soaking walnuts overnight with some lemon or apple cider vinegar. This will remove some Antinutrients. You can use a dehydrator to dry them or bake/roast on low ( 150° ) after soaked. I personally do not roast them being as they can oxidate some of the healthy fats, which is bad for the body. I dry them on parchment paper on the counter for about 1 hr, dab them with paper towels. Once done, I put them in a freezer bag. The healthy fats will keep them from getting rock hard. They will be less crunchy though, without being dried. Remember, this is just me, you can bake them on low or dehydrate them if want. Do your research :) Organic! Wonderful walnuts that I eat daily. These taste fresh and do not have any preservatives! I eat about 1/8 cup with each meal, along side some blueberries, strawberries, drizzled with lime over everything. Try lemon/lime over them, it tastes soooooo good. With that combo, you get tons of vitamins and antioxidants. Enjoy :)

Good and fresh, but bag claims they are a product of the USA and also imported from Canada. Which is it guys?

I have never tasted a bad product from YU pik until now. The walnuts were sub standard, they tasted terrible.

Absolutely delicious! Warning, any other Walnuts bought after these will just not be the same! This are a step above any brand I've had before and have prompted me to stop looking for a different brand as I can't imagine a better tasting bag of walnuts. They taste freshly cracked after being freshly plucked from the tree with the bonus of none of the work! The bag reseals well, keeping what isn't eaten upon immediately receiving these Walnut fresh until you can't stop thinking of them and have to eat more because the bag beckons you from the kitchen with a gentle but persistent "eat me, you know I'm too tasty to let sit...." lol. They didn't last long with a whole family being beckoned to them, but I will say that seal held up really well with the repeated opening, dump out a bit, and reseal that happened through a day and a half period before these delicious morsels were gone. Great snack! Way better than most nuts out there (nutritionally) and too good not to keep eating! The amount you get when comparted to the cheaper in store brands is not too far off when it comes to price per ounce. This is a 2.2 lb bag! It may look expensive, but check out the cost per ounce and compare that to the store brand. Then taste why the extra 4 cents an ounce makes it worth the slightly higher cost! I will never be going back to store bought walnuts, that is of course, unless they start selling this at a store near me!

These organic walnuts have gone completely RANCID, very quickly. I have purchased many other types of organic nuts from Yupik & never had an issue. I purchased these walnuts & upon opening the bag, I thought something smelled a little off but I went ahead & put them in glass mason jars & vacuum sealed them. I just opened the jar & these are vomit-worthy. The smell is horrific. Super DISAPPOINTED bc nuts, especially organic nuts, are not cheap & although I understand the non-refundable policy bc it’s a food item, I SHOULD STILL BE REIMBURSED for this wasted money on a rancid product Yupik sold in the first place. This does not make me want to continue to buy nuts from Yupik bc how many more times will I waste a chunk of money & a rancid product that I can’t be refunded for.

I took a break from this brand as the last 2-3 orders smelled rancid and taste stale despite the BB date being a year out. I loved the new brand I purchased last time (very clean/fresh and a few $$ less) but the delivery was going to take longer. I am pleased to say this order smells very fresh and tastes great.
