Black Butler, Vol. 3 (Volume 3)

This is the third volume in the Black Butler series. I have been absolutely loving this series; it is incredibly entertaining and well drawn. This volume finishes up the Jack the Ripper storyline started in Vol 2. We also get to meet Ciel’s betrothed’s mother and go on a hunt. I continue to enjoy the humor and the paranormal plot in these manga. They are absolutely beautifully illustrated with a lot of attention to detail. I love Ciel and Sebastian as characters; they are fun, mysterious, and quite nice to look at. It has been fun to watch the mystery of how Sebastian ended up serving Ciel slowly unravel. Overall this is an incredibly well done manga that I am absolutely loving. I would recommend to those who enjoy historical fantasy manga with a paranormal plot.

I absolutely loved how in this arc it shows the depth of Madam Red's love for her sister and unrequited beloved; with that, it also shows the extreme jealousy of Ciel's very existence and how tragic her life has been from the moment she met Vincent. While she was one of my more favorable characters, it is understandable why Grell did what he did. She showed weakness. Something Grell thought that this one human was above, but ended up wasting his time believing in humanity and doing what he had to do to Angelina.

Love black butler, came in absolutely amazing condition.

Black Butler is a fun sort of paranormal, steampunk, alternate victorian reality romp. I really enjoy it. If you're coming to the manga from the anime, there are some character differences, and a little dissonance. The english Funimation dialog was quite good, but the manga is better with backstory, innuendo and some slapstick. I will continue to buy them, as I enjoy the series so far. The characters are quirky and often hilarious (Undertaker LOL).

This book was wonderful! The battle between Sebastain and Grelle may have been short but it sure did keep me on my toes. I will deffiantly keep reading thie manga and buy the rest. Anyone else who will read this will enjoy it as much as I did, but the serise sure does get more serious and I'm liking it. :)

I read this in-between classes today and found myself wishing time would hurry so I could finish the manga. Wonderfully written and artfully designed. Lovely read.
