After having it for a few weeks now, I have found that it successfully grabs something like 98 - 100% of litter off the cats feet as they exit the box. Every now and then I will find a single loose piece of litter on the floor, but it's rare now. I've used a variety of litter mats in the past and none have ever worked this well. On top of that, this mat is easy to clean with a vacuum thanks to its design, which features perfectly spaced grooves just wide and deep enough that pull litter off the cats paw pads but still allows said litter to be easily vacuumed up. As this mat is also made of recycled rubber (check mark for being green) it is easy to rinse off and wipe down as well and maintains no foul litter smells afterward. Unlike a lot of other mats that either look good and catch no litter, or have dual layer designs that catch litter well but are impossible to clean, this mat is the best of both worlds. It looks fairly decent and most importantly, works incredibly well. There is one caveat, however, nothing worth deducting a star. Some other users mentioned the rubber smell was very strong on this mat and I must agree that it was upon initially opening it up and laying it down on the floor. After first putting under the litter box on the first floor of the house, it proceeded to stink up the entire downstairs with an old rubber scent that was so strong it was making it unpleasant to eat/live on that floor, yes, that bad! I was worried at first, but the mat came rolled up and who knows how long it was stored in a box, so we decided to place it outside for a few days and let it air out. There is feet of snow outside this time of year and its been snowing or raining 2-4 times per week, so I figured some outside air combined with a natural snow and rain rinsing might knock some of the smell out. After 2-3 days, we brought the mat back inside, set it up and the smell was reduced as to be insignificant. Weeks on, the rubber smell has declined even further. Again, this litter mat works better than any mat I've ever had so don't let the smell deter you. If your mat happens to be extra potent, unroll it and place it on your deck/yard/patio/whatever you have for a few days and that should do the trick.

This doormat was perfect for my need. It fit exactly in the entrance to our travel trailer. It catches dirt, sand and debris from our and aour dog’s feet, and it cleans with a shake. The price was right for me. It is okay to step on with bare feet, but don’t kneel on it with bare knees. We haven’t had it very long, but it appears that it will be quite durable.

This mat is amazing! It's large, it traps much of the kitty litter, and it's easy to clean! Sure, it smells like tires when you first get it but that goes away. And of course my kitty had to throw up on it, which wasn't something I could easily wipe with anything. I had to take it outside to rinse but that was also an easy clean. I've tried artificial turf rugs, cuts of regular rugs, and I also purchased a dinky "MY LITTER HELPER" Litter Mat Rust, with emphasis on the "Little" and they all fail compared to this. Definitely recommend!!

I looked through a lot of products before buying this mat (I paid full price - no discounts on this product). I have two cats and they both have different litter habits. I have two litter boxes and needed a large mat that could sit in front of both (turned lengthwise). It would also need to contain the litter that my very large, happy cat likes to scatter when he jumps like a crazy man out of the box and bolts down the hallway. This mat doesn’t eliminate all of the tracking but it definitely cuts down on it significantly. It is fairly large and covers the area in front of my utility closet. It is a little bigger than the doorway (if turned) to give you an idea if you aren’t great with dimensions. It has grooves which catch some of the litter but a majority of it stays on top of the mat. I usually just pick up the mat every other day and dump it back in the box which is no trouble. It is easy to spray off as well and it is lightweight so it is easy to manage. Price was another factor for me and this one was reasonable compared to many others like the Blackhole litter mats which run about $40.00. I know some people complained of smell but I didn’t notice any significant smells and I am overall very happy with this product. I bought this in November so I have used this product for a few months now and would definitely recommend!

Good quality mat but will not lay flat on one side so I keep tripping over it.

Awesome! I've never used another type of litter mat so I don't have a comparison but this one works great! It catches most of the litter - a few granules still make it off the mat but this is an overwhelming improvement over pre-mat era (my cat is a digger - it was like walking on an extremely unpleasant beach after she used her box). It's super easy to clean/get all the litter off. It seems like it's good quality, pretty sturdy. Other reviewers said there was a strong tire smell but I didn't think it was overpowering and it only lasted a few hours. Also, great that they are using old tires. Recycling is the best.

This mat definitely catches litter quite well cutting down on the particles that our cats track around the house. It performs better than the dozens of other mats we've tried over the years. It is the same kind of mat that is rolled out on rainy days in stores to prevent slipping. The only drawback is the overpowering recycled rubber smell that took 4 days and nights outside to dissipate. It still has a lingering odor months later but it is very slight. The sides still curl up slightly on the longer sides of the mat even after months of use. I would have given it 5 stars had it been larger. Given the cost it's on the small side.
