Uncle Mike's Kodra Nylon Web Ultra Duty Belt without Hook and Loop Lining

This belt has a secure, double-locking buckle but easy to unfasten. Ordered it extra large to go over a heavy winter coat. Got to compare Uncle Mike's to Blackhawk and Bianchi, and actually like this one best for it's intended purpose, that is, to carry a fairly heavy revolver in bear country outside a coat. Shoulder rigs were too tight and chest rigs were in the way of other stuff.

My 9yo son has gotten into shooting with me. We had a very difficult time finding a belt he could set up as his “battle belt”. This belt is sturdy enough to carry all the necessary, (and unnecessary) equipment a child would need. Love the adjustability of this belt. He loves it, and is proud to show it off.

After using this for 3 shifts, I can't recommend this item for everyday law enforcement use. It might work for a security guard who stands for most of their shift, but for an officer who is in and out of a car all day, I would find something else. The belt looks good, however, once you load your equipment onto it, you quickly realize this belt is not stiff enough. This stiffness issue is further evident when you try to put the belt on as it easily curls and will not hold your equipment in place. Once in the car, I have a habit of leaning forward slightly and using my feet and legs to further push myself into the seat in a very upright position. When re-positioning in the seat, you will immediately feel the back of the belt and any equipment back there fold under. In addition to the stiffness issue, the buckle definitely needs work. After the first 12 hour shift, the 2 "prongs" on the male end of the buckle are so weak that they will not properly spring back outwards to make a solid lock, so therefor, the entire belt is locked on using only the 3rd locking point which is the button in the center of the buckle. If you press that button in and over extend the male half into the female half of the buckle, you can finally get the "prongs" to make a weak latch, but the center button is now too far in to connect. Give it a few steps or bend over and those "prongs" will pop out and the middle button will hopefully catch and lock back into place. I can not stand my belt or equipment moving, so I normally use 7 belt keepers (2 in the back on the outer side of the cuff cases, 1 on each side of the radio, 1 on each side of the pistol holster, and 1 in front upside down as a "key keeper") however, I have found with this belt's lack of stiffness and poorly designed buckle, I am now up to 9 belt keepers, just to keep my belt in place, and that is only marginally. I bought this belt because my old belt (Bianchi brand) finally wore out after about 15 years of use, and wanted to save a few bucks..... I will be going back with a Bianchi very soon.

Good quality but very stiff when trying to adjust which is good once you get it right. But makes for a difficult changing size.

Solid belt thus far. Only thing I noticed is the the top and bottom teeth (of the buckle) are mounted on somewhat thin plastic and they're starting to bend a bit. The center tooth holds the belt securely closed but when the top and bottom teeth slip out the belt can rotate a bit around the buckle. Not overly annoying with me (I use 4 keepers) but if you rely on only two you may end up with your trouser belt slipping out in the front after you've been sitting.

Had mine for 7 years before it broke so I bought another.

Perfect, it hold my Ranch Hand perfectly. I can walk in the woods without thinking about it. (As in before, it would drag down.)
