Sunnydaze 65 GPH Solar Pump and Panel Kit with Battery Pack and LED Lights - 36-Inch Head - for Pond or Pool

I have no idea as to the battery life. So far it works well when the sun is out however it has been very rainy since it was installed. I made a water feature for our kettle fish pond and it serves as a filtering system as well, we keep it from squirting high in order for the water to trickle in each pot which contain filtering material covered with rocks-we have not installed the light kit as of yet. The main reason was to keep the water clear and aerated which it is doing great a few hours each day.

We have had this for over two years. Our puppy chewed the power cord, I just spliced it, good as new. It's not super powerful but does a nice job keeping the fountain bubbling. All weather, all the time it just keeps running.

I bought this and it didn’t even last a month. The pump battery was incapable of holding a charge. I had it in a location facing south that receives at least 8 uninterrupted hours of sunlight daily. The pump would only work for 15 minutes maximum no matter how many days I let it charge by sunlight without operating. I finally broke down and bought a separate battery charger from the manufacturer and fully charged the batteries indoors. The pump then worked for 1 hour before stopping. After that I couldn’t get it to operate anymore at all. I sent it back, and got a full and prompt refund and after some planning and machinations managed to hook up a traditional electric pump that I bought with half the money refunded from this dud.

Love this. Our fountain is far from any electric outlet, so this was the only way to go. It works beautifully.

It works really well in my large planter pot fountain.

I get around 8 hours of direct sunlight on the solar panel every day and it takes around 30 minutes of direct sunlight, before it starts working and then once the direct sunlight is gone, it turns off in less than an hour. I have several other solar run items in the garden and this is by far the weakest powered item in the yard. I have a solar air pump for the pond as well and it comes on as soon as the yard has any hint of light in the yard and runs until dusk and on cloudy days and the solar panel is about a quarter of the size of what this water pump has. I wish this worked better than it does. I would not buy again.

Nice solar pump. The only draw back is that if you don't have it set on the 4 hours on 20 off you have to physically switch it on.
