Belkin 25ft RJ11M/RJ11M Crossed Modular Patch Cord (Ivory)

This worked perfectly to move a phone after my son reorganized his bedroom. Perfect length of cord. From prior experience, I am a fan of Belkin products; they are high-quality and I was not disappointed.

I don't know if all the Belkins cords are like mine was, but to make mine work with my phone I had to replace one of the cord's modular plugs. Luckily I already had the necessary tool and extra plugs, which I'd gotten to replace plugs when the little clips snap off. This is the first time I've bought a phone cord that didn't work--I couldn't believe such a simple item could be defective on arrival. On examining the plugs, I noticed that when viewed side by side with the clips facing me the black wire was lined up on the left in both plugs. With every other phone cord I have the black wire is lined up on the left in one plug and on the right in the other plug. Aha! I fixed the Belkin to work for me. Some folks have posted on the Internet that there are older phones that need the phone cord to be wired "reversed" like mine, instead of "straight" like the Belkins cord was. They say that for most items now it doesn't make any difference which way the plugs are put on. So maybe the manufacturer can't be faulted, but I still took two points off for my aggravation, time and trouble. And the Amazon description should not say "...use it to plug in any of your phones..." My phone isn't an antique.

Came on time in new condition. Works just like it should.

Good cable, was so cheap for the length I didn't even realize it was 25ft long. A little longer than I needed but whatever. :)
